Oh my Charlie, You said something as from minute 17 that I resonate with so much. I used to be happy, and cheerful person before moving to Europe, then I went through depression, then financial struggles and having to work to survive. I'm now no longer that happy and positive person. I have to say that I'm not depressed or always sad, but I'm always so logical about everything. Reality got me to become kind of plain, not always cheerful, but just being there....I don't know if you get it. I don't get over-excited about stuff anymore. Even when a good thing comes along, I'm ok, grateful, but not too optimistic about everything like I was before, while I was in Kenya living comfortably, working for an NGO with a good six figure salary. But, life will get better as we get to learn the ropes abroad. I'm almost completing my masters, and hoping for my career here in Europe to kick-off.

Thank you so much for being so vulnerable!! That was me Charlie when I moved to USA. I had a good job back at home working with a multinational Pharma company . When I moved and I could not find the same job because of the requirements here ! I started working for the health care like most immigrant and I enrolled myself to school . I was so fortunate enough they agreed to give me some credit transfer from UoN. Am now doing a 4 year degree in under 2 year and am suppose to graduate next fall . Currently I work as a housekeeper for an assisted living home . It’s not the best job but am able to pay my school fee and help with a few bills in the house . It was such a struggle to adopt to the new norm and I questioned my self decision I had made but Am here to encourage you don’t give up and don’t loose hope !!!

Mûndû wa Kidfarmaco, listen up! You got this. Remember what it takes to make diamonds as we know them. I'm praying that God would give you patience and immense peace (and joy, of course) as He works on YOU to prepare you to receive what your heart yearns for. Thanks for making this video and that's why I watch your videos - AUTHENTICITY.
And no, you aren't losing your jolly self. You're just going through a rough patch and your other emotions need a time of their own as well. You're gonna be alright brother. Just don't give up - your life book has a couple of chapters that need great content and only you are the star in this plot. You'll be fine. Scratch that... You'll be great! 👊🏽👊🏽

I follow another RUclipsr who's also an actor. She's an American in America and getting jobs is still hard. Even when she lived in California, jobs were few and far between. She had to work other jobs.
Kudos to you Charlie, that you've gotten that 1 gig out of 50. The acting industry seems like a different animal out there.
Some industries are harder than others to get into when you're abroad. You're talented and you're doing a good job. Just keep on knocking on those doors, either you'll get what you want or you'll find out what the price is (and you may not be will be willing to pay it).
Get out of your head and drop into your body. There's only so much you can solve by thinking. Just live. The answers will come to you.

I can see it is taking a toll on you but it takes a real man to express himself. All the best bro we lack real people like you and hope you inspire many to learn from you. From your many talks in the past and now I don't hear you talk of faith but I believe God is in control and moulding you to the right direction just believe.

Thanks, Charlie, for making and posting this video despite it having sad undertones (which btw isn't an issue). I applaud you for being honest with yourself (most people aren't) and sharing this with us. I'm sure this has resonated with many people in various ways even if it isn't via relocation experience. Life is full of seasons which makes us adjust accordingly to the season. I think it's unfair to expect one to remain constant with the changing seasons. All in all we love the all seasons Charlie and we are here to stay.

When he went to LSTFI in NY I reached out to him on FB, and he was super encouraging, laying out a potential plan I could follow to enroll and study there as well.
Finances were tight though, so I couldn't hack. But his were footsteps I always tried to fuata. He was brilliant, an inspiration. He'll be sorely missed.

Honestly , This channel is sort of a tv channel. You should keep making content for this channel. I actually do not see the need for you to keep looking for an acting role while you could star in your own movies. Anyone can clearly see this is not a regular channel. The edits, the audio clarity clearly show that you are already a star. The world is the one that is to catch up with you.I am here for the long run. You will be a star.

Your content is great, it’s just a matter of time! YOU CAN AND YOU WILL! Praying for you🙏🏽
My husband and i moved to Calgary in the middle of COVID, June 2020! We didn’t know anyone nor did we have jobs, it was just us and God. I think what really helped me personally was the fact that i had set my expectations to ZERO when moving here. I knew i was supposed to start from the bottom even though i had spent years building my career and i was okay. I believe that mental state set me up for less disappointments and for me my journey has been steady, thankfully! That was my coping mechanism, everyone is different and i pray you find yours.

I feel you I’m a creative too and I always say if you can make it at home man do it!! Moving to another state was starting from ground zero, if you’re creating a brand and step back just a little it drags you back miles! In 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 you’d already created your name it’s much easier. Keep your dreams alive ma men!

It is well Charlie. Be proud of yourself because you took a big risk, It will pay. Just do what it takes from your end, keep your head high, continue being flexible, associate with people who will propel you to the next level, and more importantly believe in yourself even more. I have learnt not to attach happiness to accomplishments. I am looking forward to a testimony from your end soon

Mimi I have a different point of view. I think you've worked ten times harder than any of us Charlie - sometimes life just lifes. Pole for the hard year :/
It's okay to put yourself above your dreams sometimes - do what works for now and your purpose will find you along the way.

Lovely expressions and the learning process of migration to different countries is great lesson to everyone which will turn to a testimony.
Just wait and see how God does things for those who trust in his process and let him .

Hey Charlie. You were missed for a minute mahn 🙂. I think you're beating yourself too hard! This episode is full of sadness but know that you're joy & happiness itself. Your can grow if you keep on the consistency - get people from all walks of life to interview. Ata hao ma-students who have completed and facing life have a story to tell. I wish you all the best.
