Mother****er!!!!! That was one of the best guitar performances I've seen, and I usually watch the Guitano family play! You really nailed the song! Wow!
I'm a beginner on guitar (my main instrument is piano), and I've been working on learning the tabs for this song for a while. Probably gonna take me forever to learn, but now that you uploaded this, I feel like picking it up again.
I start playing the guitar for this song...when i was 16yo.. i got the sheets from the original soundtrack but i wasnt good enoguht with my skills and my reading was really bad at that Time. Now im 31 yo and i can play it better. Not as good as you, but pretty well anyway. Thanks for bring this beautiful piece to my memory again. Greetings from Argentina! Love your videos
Thank you for sharing your story! I'm mostly the same way. I'm not really very good at reading sheet music, I'm mostly using it for the chords lol. My normal learning process involves looking up the chords and then just trying to learn the rest by ear. I'm honestly glad I waited this long to make this video, because all the growth and experience I've had over the past decade has really helped shape this arrangement today. There are some weird fingers stretches that I do in this song that I would never have imagined being able to do way back when I first started learning the song 😆
I just started listening to the video but I can already tell its gonna be incredible, seriously you have a way of turning amazing songs into masterpieces!
Wow man so good. I just started Guitar and I'm trying to just play the guitar part, without the vocal melody. And it's very hard (for me), but it's such a beautiful song that I've loved and has been stuck in my mind for.... 16 years now?? Thanks for doing it justice!
Thank you so much brow, to upload all these videos. You are realy special, there is something in all your songs that touch me and meke my day always better. You inspire me to some day i can play guitar just like you. I dont have time now but, i will try my best to start playing as soon as possible. Sometimes i just listem and watch your videos for hours. Thank you again, i wish you all the greatest things in life!
thanks so much for posting this, this song is what got me into playing guitar almost 2 years ago. Someday i hope i'll be able to play it as good as you
This is a great song, with a great rendition of it. It seems like a deceptively simple melody at first, but you've found a lot of subtlety in it. I really like the gentle escalation that starts through the piece at 3:10. You manage to keep the same feel and rhythm throughout, but with a very satisfying build-up. This song is definitely on my list now. :-)
@@AntonBetita that's really great, I'm especially fond of 3:24 and 3:38. That sounds really good, and actually good compare to others cover ahaha. Sry for my bad english
Amazing playing here as always guitar master Anton! I am always amazed on how full your renditions are and they are really able to stand alone making a lot of the tunes in my opinion just as good, if not better than the original. If there was someone I wanted to one day play like, it would be you brother without a doubt. I love your performances. Brilliantly done sir! I applaud you yet again 👏 👏 👏 🎶 🎵 👍 👍
Just literally came from Kara Comparettos chan and the last song she played was this... Perfection... I honestly think you're my fav steel string acoustic guitarist : ) Keep up the skillz boss mayne!
Ah I saw that video by Kara Comparetto! I haven't watched the whole thing (it's over an hour long), but I'm already impressed by just the fact that she managed to cover the ENTIRE soundtrack of Chrono Cross in one video 🤯 Like, it takes me weeks just to get an arrangement for ONE track going!
@@AntonBetita Well... She is pretty legend like that haha. Bet she can't play guitar like you though! Then again like no one plays guitar like you haha.
Damn so good. so much i want to say here. I too have taken up the mantel of learning this song years ago after being inspired by kabukibear. Although I havent been working on it for 15 years I can relate to the journey of learning guitar over many years solely to be able to finally finish learning this arrangement. Ive learned many other arrangements in my time and incredible solos but I still havent finished this one, which might be the greatest of them all. Normally this song is played with a capo, are you playing this in a different tuning or just in a different key (half step up in e)? Your guitar still in e standard? Either way really good your note lengths are perfect and bass notes really clear, mark of good finger style playing. Really one of the most beautiful songs ever written imo. Especially on guitar. Mitsuda is the greatest I think.
Thank you, I'm glad you found my journey relateable haha! This is all in standard tuning. Even back then when I first tried learning it by ear 16 years ago, I just did it in standard tuning with the first chord being G. That's just what sounded right to me. And now, the music sheet that I got for it still says it starts with a G chord, so I didn't have to change tunings or keys or anything. Interestingly enough, I have learned that the song is actually in the key of B minor even though it starts with G and ends with a B Major chord 🤷♂ It's weird like that lol.
@@AntonBetita yeah, I vaguely understand the b minor thing, Im fairly sure the first B chord used is B minor, but that second ending to the progression is a B major (the progression ending that swaps with the E major ending) Some how it still works brilliantly, using both B minor and B major in the same chord progression. Mitsuda is a genius though.
I got it from Amazon about 5 years ago. Two important things about it though - one, it's in japanese so I had to look up the ost in japanese and find the english translation for each track. And two, it's actually piano music sheet. But as long as I could read the chords and notes, it was possible to translate onto the guitar 😊
GPC-18E. I think it might've been discontinued already but I'm sure it's still available in some places. It's basically a D-18 style build but in auditorium shape and with a cutaway 😁
Search for radical dreamers kabukibear. He has more Chrono Cross/Trigger videos, with link to tabs. If don't work or something sure you can find them through google Old videos but the guy did great work. Happy practice!

Dude, you are crazy underrated. 15k subs for a guitarist of your caliber. It is a crime really.
The RUclips algorithm is lame. I just now got the recommendation.

Best solo acoustic guitar instrumental version on Internet.

Amazing job, I just picked up the guitar this year and strive to be able to reach a fraction of this skill level of playing.
