Could you answer please, what they meant when ask 'family member'? Are parents and siblings are included to family members or just ask you, your spouse and children? And if parents and siblings are included and if we have no idea about their arrest or convictions maybe they have hided it we don't know anything, how de we have to fill?
Putting my family members on this file, do I have to make a form I-589 for each member or are they being specified in my file already? What would copies be like for family members?
Even when we are filling out online, for instance, if we don’t have middle name, we should write “none” or leave it blank? Also, my last name which is two parts and separate, in my passport which has been issued by my home country, has been written without space as one part. I should write my last name based on my passport. But I should do it with last name of my father and my siblings two? In address portion, it’s required to write telephone number. Can we write mobile number? Or we must write landline? Another question, the way of writing of address is different in countries. In online form, is required to write even address line 2. so someone said if you have a defensive status, you cant file it online. is it true? or if you are in court proceedings. are you considered being in court proceedings if you have a note to appear before court ? so how navigate that? i would love to file it online but not sure if i am eligible for that? thank you
Great question! At this point in time, USCIS is not taking online applications for asylum seekers in immigration court proceedings. Notice to Appears (NTA) mean you fall in the defensive process. Unfortunately, this means paper filing is the only option currently available. @@rifasylumsupport I didn’t find myself in the court system tho ? I mean my case A number isn’t found. So does it mean I can still file it online ?
Can i fill it by handwriting with pen? Or i will have to fill it up by typing with computer/mobile?
You can either type or handwrite. If you choose to handwrite, the form can only be completed in black ink.
