Scott Martin you the man brother I've learned so much from you and your dad. Thank you again so much you'll meet one day tightlines and God bless to you and your family
I got a scum frog trophy series I love it but I haven’t had any luck with it yet all of my catches I’ve been using strike king rage craws my favorite lure thanks for the video
No matter how many videos i see No matter how many pieces of structure I fish No matter how many different ways of retrieving a frog No matter how many times I’ve watched frogs swim to see how they actually move No matter how many bodies of water i fish No matter how many times I’ve tried to catch a fish on a frog I’ve never caught a bass on a frog…
MAFIA JIG CO. Dude come to florida where I live an fish an where mr.martin lives an fishes an then come tell me if your not having any problems with 25 pound braid bc trust me that's not gonna work where we live at in Florida just sayin .
MAFIA JIG CO. Hey mafia I fished in Florida and saw guys carry rakes on board there boats to make holes and come back 30 minutes later to fish the hole, 25 won’t cut it, the 10 pound bass and 15 pounds of grass also need drags better then 20 pound pull.
Can anyone explain to me why you would use 50# to 80# test? My God! I fish saltwater usually with 12# test and have landed some pretty big Jack Crevalle. It took me 30-45 minutes. I'd be using 80# test for shark fishing!
I love frog fishing. I just don't believe that bass view the frog as an actual frog. The action to me looks more like a wounded/dying shad when walking or a bluegill feeding on the surface when popping.
+kj197734 Bass are stupid, they don't care what it looks like. These frogs are imitating any kind of creature scurrying along. Frog, mouse, rat, lizard, snake, duckling, rabbit, bird, bat... dying shad.... It's not going to stare at it and wonder.... "Is that a mouse.... nope, it's a frog, not interested". The bass doesn't know or care, it just sees food.
@@CHEVY1997 I dunno I caught a bass on an ultralight crappie rod on 4lb mono, it wasn't purposefully but it worked and she ran under a dock too. I just think it might not be that necessary PERSONALLY 😅
It’s more for weeded areas or places with lots of lily pads, trust me once you get a 5 pounds bass in heavy vegetation that 4 pound mono is gonna snap in less then 10 seconds, 50-80 pound braid slices through the pads and weeds and eliminates tons of possible tangles
I used this video to catch my first frog fish today, so that's cool.

Dang scott still answering comments on a 6 year old video! That's awesome! Love the content, you should do videos with the googan squad!

I found a good deal at Walmart 3 frog lures for 6.95 they seem like an easier option then the crank baits with the treble hooks
I've been waiting for this thanks!! Does it work on ponds?
Chase Carrington for sure!

Would you use 30 pound braid for frogs or is that too light
And also what if you dont have braid?
20-25 Pline CXX works great....just stay away from Fluorocarbon for this application.
Get it
Can you also catch pike with frogs?
Yes
Nice tips. Would have loved to see you actually work the lures
Hi I am very curious what River 2 sea spittin wa frog you fish and prefer , the 55 or 70?
No matter how many videos i see
No matter how many pieces of structure I fish

Hey Scott, thinking of grabbing a TCS for a frog rod and fish mostly from a tube. What's a good length and action? Much appreciated

River2sea is soft helps get hook set

Biggie smalls and poppa
What color is good for muddy water? does it matter?
White bottom for cloudy and black for sunny works for me best.
thanks so much man!
black
Muddy water, bright colors best applications.
I've thrown 25 braid through almost everything and never had an issue. I don't think you really need that heavier braid.

50-80 lb braid??
would 30lb. work???
Watch a scott martin video now "no better frog than live target"

Seems like the answer is the weeds. 80# just to make sure you get through.
@burger1906 Ah. Ok. Makes sense.
Where do u get your frogs
They sell frogs at walmart
Canadian tire

kj197734 I agree...but sometimes they thinks its a frog.
If you work it right it looks like a frog

how about ribbot frog?
*50 to 80lb* braid??? We're fishing for bass not for sharks 😭
That's what I thought to so I used 15lb braid snapped off like a twig 😂 now I run 50lb

Good information but required action... Only explaining not illustrating..so no good
