    Stuffing the pillowcase is such a good idea for winter clothes! 😮 Thanks for sharing.

    I love board games, so I recreated all of my favorites in smaller forms that share pieces (i.e., double sided discs for Othello also work for/in checkers and backgammon, in place of rocks for Pente and Mancala, and as chips for Sequence.) Now I travel with something like 26-28 different games in one manageable box. Now I’m working on a way to create/play all of them on 8 1/2x11 paper with even smaller “chips” and pieces, so all I’ll need is a binder and a baggie.

    As I sit here stranded on the side of the road watching Mike and Heather talking about their top 10 most needed travel items. I am in need of a spare tire that is not flat. But what a great way to pass time while I wait for help. And I definitely want a noco boost.

      @@mikeandheather well the sheriff's showed up asked what happened then said oh we're not here for you just seeing what happened we're looking for a body on the side of the road somewhere, that somewhere was almost directly across from me so I watched all the drama unfold and they left before I got help. It's always something. smh 😁

    NOCO for sure! Used for myself and even once for a stranded vehicle.

      Honestly, if we didn't have a NOCO or something similar, with the amount of times we killed our battery, we would be that stranded vehicle! lol That is awesome of you to help them! Thank you so much for watching, we really do appreciate it and you!

    I agree with you.
    My newest item is an akku driven fan, with a quick clamp and remote control.
    It has three steps of air and light. And a timer for to switch off. If you become to sleep.
    Or clamp at a table, to blow the bugs away.
    Or addition fan, while you are in the front, for to drive.
    More and more campers buy and use it.

    You guys aren't worried that the jug lid doesn't screw on? I'd be worried it would spill 😬 the storage pillowcase seems like a great idea though. My must-have item to take with me is my HomeFi hotspot, it's been so helpful for working remotely and it can fit in my pocket!

    • @mikeandheather
      @mikeandheather  2 месяца назад +1

      We can't say that didn't cross our mind but thankfully we never had an issue 😂 The HomeFi hotspot is a great idea! Happy to hear it is working for you, if/when we return to van life we will need to investigate internet options and will have to keep that in mind. Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!

    What are some common things that you cook in the airfryer? Curious.

    • @mikeandheather
      @mikeandheather  11 месяцев назад

      Honestly, anything we pick up from the frozen food section when we are staying the night in the Walmart parking lot 😂 Some of our go to foods are chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, small personal pizzas, hot pocket type things, etc.
      We have even used it to warm up left over food in our fridge from eating out the meal before. We basically use it as a microwave, hope that helps! Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it!

    I learned early on that the Transit Connect (and no doubt other Vans) have a light switch for every freaking door and since they are on timers - you cannot turn them off, unless you shut the door. Of course, the front courtesy lights can be manually turned off. Since Ford wires all the switches to the door locks, they are not readily available to disconnect. So I cut all the rear courtesy lights (3 of them) from the door circuits and rewired them to a multi switch panel that I plug my Jackery in to “power up” the lights inside as I see fit as well as my Maxx Fan. I also removed the standard bulbs an in each courtesy lights and replaced the standard 2 bulbs with one LED bulb to give better light at considerable less draw on the Jackery. This avoids any concern of battery drain from the main vehicle battery. Likewise, as long as your Jackery has enough power - you can buy the battery clamps to jump your vehicle straight off the Jackery.

    Sounds crazy, but true. I search for 12 volt heating blankets here in Germany.
    I found offers from great britain. But the postal and border fees makes it expensive.
    Because GB is no more member of the eurpean union.

      Unfortunately we found the NOCO boost (or something similar) to be a must have after being stranded ourselves after leaving our lights on. Hopefully you weren't stranded for too long and the issue is now resolved!
