I love this!!! As positive as I am about my visual impairment, it is an awesome thing to hear someone say what we are all thinking. The new challenges we as blind/visually impaired people face, is both exciting and sucks. But we will endure :)

I have RP. It does suck! But we find a way and go on! Leave those behind who don't understand and bring those along who walk by our side! Xo

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing this! I have RP too and I'm sick of people calling me clumsy/daydreaming. I have less than 20 degrees field of vision and I wish people could walk a little bit in my shoes to realize that hitting somebody's toddler was not on purpose or because I was drunk.

Hahaha, yeah it does suck to use a cane and be questioned for it. There is a balance that you have to find right. You don't wanna just bump into people so you wanna use the cane but at the same time when you DON'T bump into people and other things BECAUSE THE CANE IS DOING ITS DAMN JOB, people ask you why the hell are you using a cane if you can see. Like damn man, I am walking around confidently and fluidly because of this cane. I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I feel like I have to play it up a bit, just so people don't bother me.
