Even if Black Wukong doesn't contain spyware or subversive messaging. Buying Chinese made games funnels money into China which they tax so any business you can avoid doing with Chinese businesses is another little bit of funding you withhold from the CCP.
I know it's impossible to completely avoid Chinese made products or parts, but this isn't a game of all or nothing and in particular nonvital entertainment products like games is something that can be easily avoided.
too bad Americans and the West in general are probably gonna be buying it, since they see the game as one of the few game devs that fight against DEI and SBI practices but they're just exchanging one form of censorship with another.
You ain't hurting the CCP by stopping to buy chinese products, dictatorships don't give a dam n if their people go poor. Mao even left millions starve under his Great Leap Forward and his position wasn't threatened at all. As a humble foreigner with no political power, You destroying the narrative of CCP being anything but genocidal demons and convincing your friends will hurt them way more than not buying chinese stuff from a chinese taxpayer whom probably has nothing to do with the CCP and will never hurt the CCP if they go bankrupt. Power is about convincing people they are the real deal, and that's why they started renaming places, despite that having no economic benefit.
You know, things like Let it Rot, Lying Flat, etc... hurts them waaay more, because if the young people whom has the potential to become great engineers, soldiers, medics, scientists, etc... refuse to do so, what makes their civilization any different from a sub-saharan country whom lacks these people too? and to spread this narrative, making gaming companies stronger is actually a good thing, so people would rather rot away and play games than become productive members for the CCP.
