Can a similar strategy be accomplished using 0 cast speed coins like Heavy Token, Void Nickel, Presidential Pence or Miner's Coin? It seems like it could be a nice strategy for going underground where you aren't always as likely to get the rune token.
Kennisiou There's a lot of reasonable coins you can use for good, relatively fast effect with the Wizard. I believe the Rune Token is the fastest option, but it's possible something else could work reasonably. Before we were using the Bat Pence for good effect, but it's a bit slower and harder to get reliably. I'm not sure Heavy Token would work especially against the boss, as you'll be casting very slowly giving them plenty of time to wreck you without much you can do to counter it. Presidential Pence/Miner's Coin might work but I'd expect it to be slower; it has lower casting time but the animation takes time - it's also dicey because you aren't negating incoming damage in any fashion (either by slowing them down or healing yourself). I'm not sure what you mean by Void Nickel - nothing with Void or Nickel in the name would be viable.
+Marc Esch IIRC Wizard has been changed since this video has been made, so I don't think this strat will work for speedrunning any more? Been a while since I've played Coin Crypt so I'm not 100% on that.

Where did you get your wizard strategy? I tried something similar but I kept running out of coins in battles.
