I loved the episodes where she comes back but after that its so anticlimactic It was like this thing we had all been waiting for for 4 seasons and it became so anticipated that the writers sort of backed them selves into a corner and just couldn’t deliver what we were demanding:/

I think they lost it when they decided that the characters were sacred, and none of them could be killed off. You never feel like there’s any real stakes or danger later on, because there’s never truly any deaths of characters we actually care about, so you just shrug off any threat.
It would’ve been better for them to have cece go to jail and have her as a Hannibal ector type character that the girls have to face in order to take down A.D. They could’ve had Spencer visit her and have cece Allude to them being related in some very subtle way to drop the hints about Alex. At least then we wouldn’t have been so blindsided by Alex’s sudden arrival.
Shows do not need to go on forever and these show runners need to learn how to let it go, especially when they don't even have a long-term plan for them. I totally agree with you when you say that watching PLL became such an obligation at some point and I personally think the show should've ended after Alison came back. I love these characters, but season 7 was completely unnecessary and A.D was the least threatening villain of any show.
I don’t think they had a plan past season 3 honestly. As soon as they revealed Ezra was writing a book about Ali and knew who Aria was, I knew there was no way they had this planned and it seemed like they just wanted to throw people off. I liked Ezra before the book reveal, then I was just so confused.
I'm rewatching the whole show with my boyfriend (I'm showing him the good shit bc he never watched it) and.. honestly, Seasons 6B-7 feels a whole different show. Miss Marlene decided to kill Toby's wife ON THEIR WEDDING DAY AND FOR WHAT?!?!?! idk, it's kinda weird to watch these seasons after getting the context of the girls of the previous seasons, but I kinda enjoy it. It's really juicy btw, but justice to my girls because they did all of them soooo dirty

Ezra should have been sent to jail by an A tip off, killed in prison by an A minion. Noel could have been Aria’s boyfriend after the big Ezra reveal, or if they were set on him being a villain, he could have killed Ezra in jail out of jealousy or blackmail from A. Wilden should have been much older, who preyed on Cece, and that’s why he worked with her, out of fear of being outed for being a P word. Mona should have gotten very close to finding out who big A was, but then was killed. If they were set on Alex Drake evil twin arch, we should have known it, and Alex was sabotaging them from the inside, maybe testifying that Cece should have been let out when they were all saying no. Allison should have come back in the last season, not in the middle and then being written as useless and becoming a Mary Sue. Ultimately, Aria should have been A with Allison, and if Alex Drake must be there for plot, that Allison are Aria figure it all out, but mistakenly kill Spencer or gravely injure her, mistaking her for Alex. Then in the end, you have genuine fear if the liars will be okay, and Emily, Hannah and Spencer, come out okay in the end, figuring it all out using information that Mona found.
Also Jenna… she could have become frenemies with the liars, eventually figuring it out with them, and getting closure from all the stuff Allison put her through.
just yapping at this point. this show could have been literal gold the whole way through, but the writers had no backbone to actually do crazy shit, and no long term plan, leaving just far too many plots unanswered and or redundant
I was a bit disappointed about the time jump. Mostly because I wanted to see the characters go to college or having jobs instead of just being told about it.
Omg I dont know If you’re aware but there is a new PLL book where they are 30 years old and it’s soo good ❤️ I found it very interesting because they are an actual adults at this point (I always found it annoying how most of them had their lives pretty much sorted by the age of 23, like come on, not in this day and age). I would love if they had done that in the show x Having Cece go to actual prison and maybe had her released (and having Alison and the others actually fear her) xx Anyway, I really liked your video x
@@emmamirbach1661 so Emily has a wife who’s a doctor and she became a therapist, Hannah was a trophy wife to some rich guy and she has two boys, Aria is going to get married to some rando and she is an artist and also an art professor and Spence is serial dating and she’s also a divorce lawyer xx but their life is a mess but it kinda unmesses itself in the end x and they are being tormented by ‚A’ copycats x Although I hope there is another book because in this universe Alison is in prison (she was A) and the writer was hinting that she may finish her sentence soon 😃 really recommend it, it’s on audible, although the books are very different from the show so you might want to read the other ones first xxx
The thing u said about “liking” Cece - I think theres a big difference in liking a character and liking the person I like the character of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, but I DO NOT like him as a person ykwim? A good character is not necissarily a good person, on the contrary the best characters are the ones with the most nuance and that make you question right and wrong But thats just my opinion
yeah, i think i sympathised with her trauma and that’s the aspect like i “like” type of thing? in terms of recognising the character trauma and sympathising with the childhood she faced - but everything else she did was TRASHHH 😭😭

I truly believe they shouldn't have broken Caleb and Hanna up for the time jump, I wish they'd kept Ezra with Nicole, aria with literally anyone else, Emily was cute with Sabrina so I wish they had more time the only other relationship but Maya that I fell in love with when it came to Emily and if they were gonna break up Yvonne and Toby do it earlier and way better
i love the show honestly ! (i know it doesn’t look like it hehe) i just love talking about it and giving my views on what i would’ve done etc, but i adore the show so so so much!!
