Hi Dagara Music Center friends! Great to see the center a few years after I was there. :-) Can anyone tell me if this the same rhythm as Otofo, which is what Sowah Mensah refers to it, at least with the Saa o lei song. In fact, when I used to perform with Bernard in Bloomington, he would encourage me to sing the group of Otofo that I had learned from Sowah. Thanks, DMC guys! Hope to see you in future!
As far as I know: "Sayo" means Help. "Le" our teacher called always an echo, maybe something to make the "Sayo" stronger. "Anouma" is the name of a girl. And the meaning of the Song is more or less that the Girl Anouma is asked for help.
I am proud of you...you did very well... as a drum and dance teacher and artistic director i can say you made good use of your stay in Ghana....
awww thanks man!
What a beautiful dance🥰
