Game is called Pajatso and is the most known street game in Finland. One used to be in every store next to checkout and every bar/restaurant so that people would loose their change after shopping.
Law has changed so that you can only find these in age-restricted gambling houses anymore.

not necessarily, in the early days some people had so-called team coins that could be pulled back with a fishing line, the same in phone booths, but those are some memories of the 90s now

This was a set in the city of Lahti in the year 1973. That era saw many well-known rock bands emerge from Lahti. The background music was a localized version of Chuck Berry's Reelin' and Rockin' from 1973.
The guys wanted a pack of cigarettes and went posing as collectors for charity. Then the ringleader got the brilliant idea of multiplying their money by playing the payazzo (originally a German game). It failed.
All gambling in Finland is organized by a state monopoly. The text on the sign shown after the money was lost read "For public health".
So, these three little punks thought they could beat the system and pose as charity collectors to raise the money for a pack of cigarettes. But in the end the system beat them and took the money to spend it on public health of all things.

My father is originally from Lahti region (a small country side town near by, not the actual city) and ever since my dad retired, my parents have been living in Lahti. Some of my cousins also used to live here. So this city has a special meaning to me. They (people) say, Lahti is the Chicago of Finland, because the crime rates used to be bad. Maybe they still are? Who knows. Anyway, Kummeli is a Finnish institution of comedy. I hope you can have some laughs, because their humor, I hope, is universal enough to make people from all walks of life enjoy comedy.

And in the end they lost their money to the coin machine and it shows a label where reads that the profits from the coin machine is donated to charity, so after all they were collecting money for charity although it wasn't their original purpose.
