He knows that taste is gonna change peoples preference but that skill and understanding of the art comes down to objective knowledge of the craft that you want to create. As a person that wants to work with film i myself know all of those aspects and i myself try to keep to having an open mind for all styles and instead look at the filmmaking taking place and the reason the choices taking place were made. Instead of judging from what i personally want to see. He also just seems like a genuinly nice guy

I think that means he was trained sooo hard to reach that vocal range from a very very young age. If age makes someone's voice lower, then I can't notice the same thing in recent popular musician like John Mayer, Bruno Mars and many male artists. After they reach 19 years old, their timbre doesn't change, but their vocal range should be increased. Just compare their old videos with their newest videos. There's no difference in my ear.
