    It took me 5 years to catch my first salmon, fishing 5 or 6 times a year. I lost 22 salmon in a row. I began to doubt my sanity! I changed flies, leader material and developed strange rituals to try and dispel my bad luck. In the end a very nice man called Arthur Coombes caught a salmon and gave me his fly. 15 minutes later I caught my first salmon on Arthur's fly. It was a Bann Special, but with a red head. I have used it ever since. Well done for persevering! Great videos, thank you.

    Dr John....what is the availability like on this river?....Was thinking of bringing my family over for a week as long as it was possible for a cast or two.

      +Colin Tait Hi! There’s normally no problem to get a fishing permit but weekends in May and September might be fully booked, at least in late May. You can check it yourself on www.sveaskog.se/morrum/ John

/John

      Hi,
      It's length markings. Makes it easier to quickly measure the fish. /John

      Hej, Lite olika. Bilden är från Pool 8 men de flesta fiskarna är från Knaggalid och Norra sträckan (pool 17-32). /John

    Hello
    what rod and line do u use in morrum river?

    • @DrJohnTheAnglerJohnHedberg
      @DrJohnTheAnglerJohnHedberg  8 лет назад

      Hi, I normally use either a 13,7 ft (May) or a 12,6 ft rod (summer/autumn). Line 9#. But the choice always depends on the water flow and size of flies. /John
