Everything you do is beautiful, I've learned so much over the years of watching you, it's been such a joy. I'm mostly home bound so I don't get out anymore to observe nature, but I look at photos and other sources as well as what I have retained in memory. Thank you so very much for every lesson, at first I was truly horrible at it, but I kept at it, today I'm not nearly as good as you but I have fun doing each and every one of the spontaneous paintings. I like it that you brought in these geometric shapes, I've always been drawn to them. It is with great appreciation and gratitude to you for keeping me going in my most loved art form.

I would do it in a caffe when it's easy going, used to be a waiter there, would just splash some coffe on a paper, later on would be doing ink over, I think it was Uni pen, and it was so relaxing as I ak quitte imaginative and I love not having direction and just creating. First 3, 4 lines, already see a shape, then see where it takes me, sometimes landscape, people, portrait, sometimes scenes without any colleration inbetween, just bunch of stuff on one paper.. loved it and still doing it often

That is a most accurate description. I think that will help me try this. I've been watching and I haven't yet had the courage to start. But that way of looking at it, is going to help me tremendously. I tole paint, but watercolor is a completely different thing. I want to learn it though.

rcarda2063, hello rcarda, I have done many things in the Art field, I also used to do Tole Painting as well as oil and acrylics, but watercolor is my first love. Don't ever be afraid to try something new, look at like a grand adventure that it is, it's only paper and some paint. Your life will be much richer if you look at it as an adventure. If you don't like what you painted just turn the paper over and try again. Your not wasting anything, your developing your art form. Stick with even if your not good at first it will improve as you move along. One more little hint, if you absolutely hate what you painted, just make an Art Prompt from that painting, Punch or cut out shapes from sections of that art and on the back write out different paint palette colors for your next adventure, try colors you've never tried before, but on the back of these little shapes such as hearts, squares, etc. Wright a subject you never painted before, a color palette you never tried before, try painting on a cradle board mounted with your watercolor on it. Just have a lot of fun and go for it, all your losing is your fear!😊

Love when you do this technique, think it was because it was the third or fourth video I saw of yours. Haven’t done this in a year or maybe more, loved doing my favourite one was when you did the trees on the lake, or something like this, I tried had me water bottle going, loads of fun. Then the next day it was time to ink, um mine so didn’t look anything like yours, I went bugger and just let the imagination run away, ended up with hot air balloons in the air, walk ways with people on, dragons fighting, lock ness monster and a mermaid just to name a few, such fun. Think I might sit down this afternoon and splatter and have a little fun, see we’re this water colour journey takes me this time. Thanks for the inspiration and another fun watch or should I be thanking Reece? Naaaa I know it’s all you Steve.
