The good old days😁 I've been around when some people have had some mouthfuls of gas or accidentally swallowed some🤢 This is a better tool. I really needed the Jerry can to be sitting a little bit higher and it would have been a smoother process. I got this syphon because the new anti-spill spouts are awful to use! Thanks, Jim😀
I take it with me when I go exploring. It's also handy to have in the storage locker in case there is a shortage of gas at the pumps. We had that here a few years ago after some rain storms came in and cut us off from the supply trucks.
That's good stuff getting a mouth full of fuel🤢 When I was a kid, I remember seeing people sucking on the end of the hose to get the gasoline flowing. This is a much better way...you just have to make sure you're at the right height.
It's always good to have a Jerry Can for long trips! This jiggle syphon works great when you have the Jerry Can elevated. It's better than the safety spouts that come with Jerry Cans these days!
@@FrigginKlar yessss! Did we just become best friends? My favourite is listening to how Ricky justifies throwing stuff in the river as recycling because it just disappears. Lol.
This was a little awkward to make it work, but it worked. The Jerry Can really needs to sit a little higher than the bumper and then it would flow nicely.
It was easier in this video that I did; ruclips.net/video/qlvckCPxG5w/видео.html It works well though and is easier than holding the Jerry Can up to the side of the Jeep waiting for it to flow in the gas tank when using the anti-spill spouts they make for these now.
It is very handy! I can now go a little further in the bush without worrying. I've got two of those Jerry Cans. They hold 5 gallons each. I usually only travel with the 1 for my trips, but if I ever go on an extended trip, I'll carry both.
I have another video were I demo this host and I have the Jerry Can higher. It really works like a charm and can be pretty quick! Take a peek here: ruclips.net/video/qlvckCPxG5w/видео.html This was a test to see if I could get it to work by having it sit on my bumper. It was awkward and did sort of work, but I certainly had to work a lot.
Looks like it worked good! As long as the level is lower to where one is siphoning to all should be fine. And I will assume that a Jeep's gas tank is at the bottom of the vehicle. lol I've had to spit out some gas in my lifetime...and looks like Jim Hayes has had to do the same thing!! LOL LOL
Yes, the gas tank is underneath. I just needed to be a little bit higher than the back bumper to make it work well. These jiggle syphons work great! I've seen people do it the old way back in the day. Spitting out gas afterwards😂
Yeah, do it like in the old days where you suck the hose and then get some in your mouth and spit it out. I've been there a couple of times in my youth when adults were doing that. Not the healthiest🤢 This test that I did certainly worked, but was a little awkward. It was still better than those safety spouts they sell these days!
It was a test to see if I could use the syphon with the Jerry Can sitting on the bumper...kind of can, but it works a lot better if it is raised a little bit more. It still works better than the new safety spouts!
Yeah, by drinking some first🤢 These are neat little tools and easy enough to carry. I got this because of the new safety spouts they sell with Jerry Cans. They do not allow for the free flow of the gas and it takes about 20 minutes holding the tank up to the side of the Jeep.
They work and they are better than those silly safety spouts that are sold today! I just needed the Jerry Can to be a little bit higher and there would have been vey little effort on my part for this to work. Yeah, apparently doctors do not recommend ingesting gasoline😁
Brings back a few memories, only when we did it we had to do it the old fashioned way,LOL! Great job Age!

Always good to have some extra fuel on hand.
Thanks for the video Age, ATB 🖖😎

Hi Age, great to see a bit of siphoning in action. Haha 🤣
I should have shown it done the old way and then show this as the modern, healthier way to siphon😀
I remember getting a gob full as a teenager.
That's good stuff getting a mouth full of fuel🤢

Interesting! I might actually have to look into this next year when I get back up into Alaska and might need some extra gas. Thanks for the demo!

Well mision was a succes! ⛽️😎👍🏻
It was😁😁
Very nice demonstration ❤👍
Thank you, Roni😁
It was a good test to see what would work.
Nice demonstration 👌
Thank you😁
It was a good test to see if I needed to have something to put the Jerry Can on or not.
I'm not sure if you're a Trailer Park Boys viewer, but this reminds me of when Cory and Trevor ran their gas station in the park, lol.
I've watched a number of episodes, but I haven't seen that one. I'll need to look for it😁
That’s the worst case Ontario!!!

How handy to be able to keep the spare fuel in the jeep.

I thought I had missed something here until I looked up self priming siphoning hoses. ( I saw the one way valve on the end of the hose )

Good job.. I never have done it though! 😊😊😊
Even though I made that awkward, that was still easier than using the stupid safety spouts they make nowadays😁

They do work awesome! I just needed to have my Jerry Can a little bit higher in this case and it could have done its job properly😁
Nice demonstration. I was waiting for you to suck the gas out from one end of the hose. You’d probably get a ton of views that way. 😂👍

Yep, no problem, but nice to see in practice. Remember not to swallow 😂
Yeah, no more having to drink the gasoline first🤢
It worked...it would have been better with some more height on the Jerry Can, but it's doable.
Nice work.

They do this on The Walking Dead. If there is a zombie apocalypse, you will survive just fine.
Sweet! I feel prepared then😁
My dad did it using his mouth once…😬
I've seen it done that way before. Gets you a nice taste of gasoline🤢
Very nice my friend 👍👍👍

It was a good test to see if I could do it out in the open with nothing to really support the Jerry Can higher.
