Being a male, I am told by Jesse that I'm a BETA. I believe I live in a glorified state of our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ. That gives me companionship for all.
This is so good Jesse when you were taking about going through the valley of the shadow of death it reminded me of the deadly sins, pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. And you are right we die to these and God is with us.going through all of this
My nature is to people please, as I was always an accessory to other people’s lives as a child. I never had a permanent home, a father or siblings and I spent much of my childhood in other people’s homes, in temporary homes (women’s refuges) or homes that never lasted longer than a year. It makes you have to be likeable, as you are always on other people’s time and in their space. It’s something I worked hard to overcome as an adult, I even went out intentionally treating people cruelly (just so I could wield that other-side). It’s something you never really shake though, it becomes a part of your being. Whereas I enter social situations having to be aware of that inherent part of myself, other people do not have to.
I can relate. I was a total people pleaser (starting with my parents, then into relationships)... could not be honest with people. Caused a lot of problems in my life. Of course now that I'm being honest with them (in love) they hate it! 😅
1:02:50 Jesse asking the guy why he's struggling with doing the Silent Prayer, The guy answers bc when he tries "the noise" gets louder. Simultaneously, either a chair is drug across the floor, or tires on the street outside are heard screeching. You cant ask for a better example of the spiritual world projecting into the physical world (synchronicity)
"He tries to make up for it these days. He tries joking with me and my sister, but I'm like, you know, I don't want to joke." So he wants to hold onto this image of his father from childhood. He doesn't want to receive his father's love, he *wants* to think badly of him. He *wants* to hold onto it.
When you live long enough you begin to see that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and everyone can be forgiven. It has nothing to do with exonerating or condeming someone for doing wrong, since judgement belongs to the Father. Instead, it has everything to do with the forgiver. If you do not forgive others, God will not forgive you! Your eternal salvation can depend on it.
To the last young man to share: Your father and mine should have been bowling buddies 🙂. But listen to Jesse, he's absolutely correct, if you truly forgive him, realize that he was not present when he abused you, either physically or mentally (which can hurt even worse), you'll lose your anger and resentment, it will have NO POWER to make you miserable and you WILL be free, you'll be at peace. I've found peace through forgiveness. You have to forgive yourself too, remember that. It will change your life. But it's a constant spiritual battle. The evil of ego will try to sneak back in, that's the Devil that lives in all of us. I hope you read this. I hope you learn the freedom of forgiveness. Peace ✌️
Thank you for this Jesse, this helps explains the meaning of Madre de Dios (Mother of God), a region in the Amazon, sounds like an intense, evil, scary place of life, birth, and death Now on this apologizing mother thing: does it count if we do the hard work, show up, stick to the script but it doesnt feel genuine?
I wouldn't let your thoughts tell you it wasn't genuine. If you did it then you did it, don't worry about what you were feeling when you did it or what your intent was or whatever, cause most importantly you saw that you needed to do it and then went and did it. That's all there is to it, in my opinion
Apologize for resenting them if you need to, but it's about YOU forgiving THEM. If you truly forgive, you no longer have anger or resentment. You're free. It's for your benefit, not theirs. If it feels like a script you're reading, then it's possible you haven't truly forgiven them, and does no good for anyone, in my opinion. You have to realize they know not what they do. Think about things you've said or done in anger, frustration, jealousy, etc...and forgive yourself too. You were not present, you were unconscious and acting out evil thoughts or emotions. Hope that helps.
@@scottytoohotty7617 The issue simply is that while all that is well understood, then Im not exactly sure how to 'let it go' as they say; simply end up guilt tripping myself for not genuinely forgiving them. Understanding that God can only truly forgive takes a big weight off and at least makes having her in my life, despite the complications, tolerable and we can go from there. Yes it did, thank you Sir for your feedback.
Young men in the comments……if you find yourself wanting or “needing” a woman just know that once you forgive your parents and do the silent prayer you will notice it starts to fall away. I’m even at the point now to where it doesn’t even cross my mind and I feel as though I would be taken back with a woman.
