Well, if you would have asked me a few years back if a small company could break into the airbrush market and deliver a quality airbrush with innovations at an affordable price, I would have said no. Not only is Gaahleri bringing it, I think they are eating other companies lunch-haha! I probably would have picked this one up if I hadn't just picked the siphon feed, plus the upgrades for my trigger airbrush. I also don't think that most companies make a brush that you can actually upgrade the parts with the latest innovations or use some parts from a different model on the brush you have. Also, when was the last time a company listened to their customers to improve their products? I've been impressed with how well their airbrushes work and with the company as a whole. They really are doing a lot to produce brand loyalty and that's going to pay off for years to come.
That air brush is so versatile. Lefty or righty. Siphon or gravity feed, fan cap, 2 needle & nozzle sizes. Incredible.
Thanks for the test and info video.
Gaahleri is certainly becoming a force to reckon with in the airbrush game. Their customer service (yes, you Zeta) is above all the rest. Going to be interesting to see what they develop next. Their airbrush designs are truly a work of art in itself.
wow! this new side feed feature will make it so so convenient to shift colors! love it.
I have your Swallowtail and it has not disappointed at all. Keep up your work, man.
🤘🏼 "Up the Irons"
That's cool that the bowl is adjustable to any way you want to to use it
That’s a nice addition to there airbrush line! I have been really impressed with Gaahleri’s airbrush
Great video of the new brush. The FIGURE looks fantastic. Ordered my new Swallowtail last week. Can't wait to use it. God bless!
Gaahleri is absolutely ruling the airbrush game with some awesome performing airbrushes at an incredible price and let's not forget their stellar 5☆☆☆☆☆ customer service. Thank you Gaahleri and Thank you for another fantastic review my friend, your channel is absolutely destroying any other hobby review channel. Everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏
I do not agree ruling the game. Had a Ghad 39 were not impressed. Harder and Steenbeck for me. Only asian i will buy comes from Japan or Taiwan
My friend. I ♥That Side Feed!!!
I've never thought about getting one until you explained it's advantages.
Side feed makes so much sense. Thanks for the review
woah the viewing angle is quite tempting. i might just see if i can buy one of those purple handles since i already have two of your swallowtails. Edit: I now own a swallowtail SD lol
I continue to remain impressed with the quality and value of Ghaaleri's airbrushes. I'm not using an airbrush yet but Ghaaleri seems an easy first airbrush buy even when compared to long time recommendations. Although Harder & Steenbeck's models are highly tempting even with their higher price
Definitely going to look into that traditional-grip style sidefeed later this year. Just what I need.
Just got into airbrushing! I'm glad I found your channel! Thanks for the review!
You're welcome buddy
Robert my entry two years back, into airbrushing work, was a cheap dual-action combo kit. Single-needle size, etc, strictly bargain stuff. It's time to upgrade, and your Swallowtail set currently has my full attention. Thanks for that review, and this one too. Working my budget, will be in touch, Sir. Cheers!
I love my Swallowtail, still running amazing a year later
Mine too, not a single issue. Love it.
I'm still using an Iwata HP TR2 as my "spray gun" but if/when it goes to the big spray booth in the sky, this looks like a great replacement!
Nice! I always like seeing new airbrushes from Gaahleri!
could you please make a tier list of airbrushes?
That looks like a great airbrush. I've been thinking about a side feed. Thanks for the information🚗.
Another awesome video! I might have to pick one o those up, I can think of some applications that would be a perfect fit for that!
Gotta love those surprises from yourself in the mail 😂
That's pretty neat. Thank you for showing this to us.
I love my Gaahleri airbrush works great on my lures I paint Thanks for the video 👍
That is a really beautiful airbrush.
I have the rex swallowtail and it works great and I bet this side fed will be just as good thank you for the vid
Myrath! 🤩
Awesome band 🤘
I just ordered the Ace Series with the 3 sized needles! Cant wait to get it in my shop!
Nice spray gun, thanks for the video.
I like it, interesting airbrush.
WOOHOO! New video! 👍🏻😁
Based on this demonstration, I believe that side feed is the way to go.
I love my airbrush but I did have one small (And easily fixable) issue with mine. The screw that holds the trigger in to the hinge on top came loose, so definitely be on the lookout for that for anyone using these! Otherwise I havent had any issues at all.
Very very good 👍😊
Love it 😍❤️ all your videos 😊
Love you all my friends 💕😊❤
Wow great vid my first air brush 39 yrs ago was a gravity feed and I think you reviewed it some time ago 😁still got a brand new unopened one😛really diggin the new colors cant wait 4 the clears and how can I get a Chopper🤣🤗scooter d😎
Stay safe stay 🥵 warm and take care my friend 🙏🏡💖😎
I need to get one, I think spraying at angles gives you so many more options, I have Syphon feed airbrushes but I believe they broke before I got a chance to use them
Hmm on a side note Chopper’s appearance makes me think of an anime character named Chopper from one piece. With the robotic arms and the color of the head and droids are cute too.
that is a really neat airbrush !!
I wouldn't mind having one of those at all!... since i din't have one anyway that would be awsome 😁
I’m going to need this one as well
Interesting. I purchased the Möbius .2 over Christmas and it performs very well, especially for the price. Their email support is very good too. But there is a couple of issues with the supply process and website here in the UK. I reported a couple of issues to them and they promised to look into it, so we'll see how it goes. The shipping prices here are quite high too, even though they say they have a warehouse here. The website is very much biased to maybe the USA? Adding taxes at checkout etc. they have an Amazon shop, but again the prices for shipping is way too high, making new needles etc pricey, even compared to my Iwata. If they sort these issues out they'll take over the airbrush market in the UK I reckon.
I personally prefer the fan cap over the .7 set. .7 just takes a lot of cfm to use.
I'm all new to this fast time
Do the siphon jars have a good seal? Might be really handy to keep go to primers in if so.
Airbrush be great to prime my sci-fi ships
That's a nice brush and the side feed is a neat feature. But I already own your swallowtail so I don't think I can justify getting another.
I would loooove to win that airbrush. In the market for a new one and I like the idea of the side feed and the trigger action as I have arthritis in my fingers. $200.00 + to buy in Australia. Cheers mate.
Awesome 👍😎
Trigger style only fir me
Even though I have your swallowtail this one is tempting.
I been debating on getting another airbrush and I might try this out. I got like 5 different ones but each has their own issues and I do got 2 airbrushes from this company but they are the cheapest version they thru in with the compressor Bundle.
Hi B Rex I am curious can you use both siphon and side feed at the same time with different colours to have a unique pattern on your model . Just a thought keep up the good work Jay from Derby England.👍
Have you ever tried any of the Oden Kan paints off of Newtype?
I have a complete set of them. I've tested some here but not all of them
@barbatosrex9473 Did they lay down and look pretty good. I was thinking of picking up a few colors to fill in a few hues i need.
Can i ask where you puchased the gold inline filter on your swallowtail. I just purchased one and would like to add it to mine as well.
That's small gold moisture and filter trap is from Mr. Hobby. I purchased one a year ago from Scale Hobbist or Sprue Brothers. But I do believe spray gunner sells them as well.
I want one!
Great review of product and features. Just getting into airbrushing and would love to save the $109 for other things if you are so inclined to pass along this reviewed one my way…thanks in advance.
This friction fit for the paint vessel is not a new concept. Badger, Pache and a Iwata and numerous others have been manufacturing them for decades. This method of holding the paint vessel secure into the airbrush is a very robust reliable connection nothing to worry about here.
Is it possible to spray two different colors at the same time? Also should you spray two colors at once?
Would you be offended if I switched out the blue plastic on my swallow tail with the purple?
Interesting design. The way the cup/jar attach with a slip fitting seems prone to leakage over time. Since it relies on a snug fit my guess is that even slight wear would cause it to be loose. They should have had a way to "lock" it with a screw/nut the same way you would connect a slip fit pipe.
On another note, I'd love to know more about the relationship between Barbatos and Gaahleri. Does BR get a say in the design? A small commission/royalty? Is it literally just an airbrush with his logo? Also, is Gaahleri just a reseller of an OEM airbrush or are these custom made for them?
I think these are nice airbrushes. I only have one complaint, and it is just a personal thing. These guns are bulky and heavy. When it comes to detailed work, like freehanding camouflage patterns, I feel restricted, like there is a resistance to what I'm asking the gun to do. It's capable, no doubt, but it holds me back. My lighter guns are smaller and lighter, and I don't feel the resistance that weight and bulk adds.
Just something to consider. It would make a difference.
Ordered mine on January 1st and still haven't received it. I emailed the company yesterday and still haven't heard from them. Anyone else having issues?
I will ask them tonight
@barbatosrex9473 Thank you buddy! 😎👍
We have recently expedited the order shipments and hope you won’t have to wait too long.
