Love the 45.8 lbs w/625w battery (and 750w battery option), clean cockpit integration, no wire bluetooth remote control, Bosch race motor (optional). And man, that trail has some crazy amount of tight switchbacks.
Now we do know what you were doing here in Spain 😅 There are a couple switchbacks there LOL I told ya those trails are no joke 😉 Hope you had a good time!
This bike, the Nukeproof Megawatt 297 and the Norco Range are at the very top of my list. I really like the looks of this one over the other two, but I really need to find one that does well in really big chunky terrain like we have here in Phoenix. The semi-short chainstay on the Wild is making my hesitate on pulling the trigger, but I'm still looking for some feedback on that from someone who has ridden it. Looks like you rode a lot of mostly smooth-ish stuff?
Wild H10 Alloy or Trek Rail 7, also alloy? Both are Bosch bikes. With the bigger battery (than the Rail 7 has), new interface, and 160 vs the 150 rear of the Rail... I'm leaning towards the Wild. Thoughts?
@@GeoffGulevich Thanks Geoff.... noticed your were riding a medium (although noted in comments you'd be a large) Wish I could sit on or test both, although none in stock in Australia and it's a VERY expensive mistake if I order the medium and it feels to small Leaning towards the medium now though So you didn't feel super cramped on the medium?? (realise large is better fit you though) Thanks again
I'm interested in purchasing this bike and want to swap the stem. Spoke with team at LBS that is an authorized Orbea dealer and they stated Orbea has a stem cap they sell that allows for this. You would be able to use the standard round spacers.
Hey Geoff!! Two questions! If you had to choose just one bike, between the Rise and the wild, which one would you choose? How would you feel with the Rise on that trail? 🤙🏼
I've a Rise wich is a very good bike but more oriented trail riding. I've rebuild all today, I'm gonna sell it. for a Wild 2K23. because I'm more Enduro/AM oriented. The rise is NOT an enduro bike ;)
Awesome bike! Do you think the Race motor will be too overkill for most riders? Also, did you notice any hand fatigue on the descents due to the stiffer frame? The bike is a looker though!
@@GeoffGulevich I have a Orbea wild ,i like it ,the trail is mostly a very nice single track trail ,i know you are a very good rider i didnt want to be a bad talker /hater ,What i mean is ,as the first ride with this new bike, the clip can highlight the potencial of taking a ride with this ebike such is the facility we can reach a top at the trail to go down and get amused .no pickups shuttle or other shuttle needed and no pain to go uphill. Thanks for you attention in answering our posts and so polite, great honnour.Cheers
I'm just curious, why it took half a decade !! for Orbea (other brands too, however new Wild is 2 years behind Specialized Turbo Levo gen3 !) to create ebike with decent geometry ??? (comparing to my analog bike from 2018, which is quite similar). Is it because ebikes were targeting (were designed for) sunday warriors before and not for racing/professionals/aggressive riders ? and now, when ebikes started to be more popular among fast riders, it's time to make them more aggressive ? Controls still looks a bit crappy.
Once again my wish list grows…
hahaha 😂😂😂
Same here

Thank you for actually riding it and not just standing there talking about it like every other review I’ve seen lol
Definitely my pleasure! Hahaha

Hello, what size do you recommend for a height of 1.77cm and a 73.5cm saddle? M or L thank you
Probably L but it’s always worth finding one to jump on to be safe

Looking at ordering a Wild
I'm 175cm, you think medium or large would be best

Can the stem be swapped with any aftermarket stem? It looks like you have to use those headset spacers as they are an odd shape.

Yes, I was referencing a range extender. Do you know if that is compatible with this bike?

Hey, great video. How long did the 625 last? I can’t decide between the 2 battery sizes.
We were out for about 4 hours of fairly non stop riding
@@GeoffGulevich thank you for the reply. Might lean towards the larger size.

Did you try both the 750 and the 625 Wh battery?
If so, was the difference in handling very noticeable?
Unfortunately, I only had the 625 to try. I can say that it was very playful
