That’s definitely a great shout mate!! I may have to get myself one for longer trips 👌🏻 I’ll just have to make sure I don’t forget it’s one and try to get under a height barrier 😂😂
Micro is Defo brilliant starter.. I started with a Vauxhall combo, then into a transit and now a crafter.. start small.. youll know if you love it or not..
Definitely the way to go isn’t it! Nice to have that journey too, my plan is to skip the middle size now and go straight to a crafter with the idea of going full time! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
@@BanksyTravels that’s what I’d of done with hindsight the middle isn’t to dissimilar to the micro other than probably the slightly more floor space.. still only get a folding bed. Would you go toilet/shower room fixed bed etc.?
I’m with you on those points mate & there’s also a really strong Caddy community out there ! Roof top tent has upped my Caddy tho, it gives me the option for more living room inside instead of a larger bed area. Cheers John👍
I think a caddy for a weekend or week is fine, I used to have a rear awning tent when we were on sites. I think it might be a bit small for full time living but you have to decide what is right for you. If I was doing it now I’d have a roof tent with side awning attachment. I like the Ventura deluxe. Take care Gill
I agree!! Definitely would be difficult for full time living 😅 I think it’s even going to be a struggle for the length of time I’m planning to do in Europe 😬 only time will tell though. Thank you for your comment Gill, hope you are well 😁
I think a micro camper is a great starting point for someone wanting to get into or try out that kind of thing too! Obviously being on your own makes it easier for space and you can convert it for a cheaper cost with it being smaller as you say! Another point which is a con I suppose is that Caddy's don't have as many camper modification parts available out there compared to Transporters or crafters but it is getting a little better as they become more popular I suppose 😂 looking forward to seeing your winter trip to Europe and future plans though mate! 🙌
100% mate 👌🏻 I’m so glad I started with a micro camper, had some great trips already and hopefully a good few more before I upgrade. That’s a very good point too mate, there’s definitely far less modification/customisation options isn’t there. Hopefully things go to plan and it should be a pretty interesting trip 🤞🏼😂
It’s such a difficult decision to make isnt it!! My advice would be view as many different vans as you can, and definitely take your time 😁 all the best in your search
A roof box is a great addition to the caddy maxi. Even just to store soft stuff like bedding etc makes a huge difference.
That’s definitely a great shout mate!! I may have to get myself one for longer trips 👌🏻 I’ll just have to make sure I don’t forget it’s one and try to get under a height barrier 😂😂
Very informative 👍🏻
Cheers mate 😁😁
I really like the micro campers , but I do love the bigger camper vans too ... really enjoyed your video
Thank you so much 😁 They are definitely all great in their own way! anything that gets you out and about sounds great to me

There certainly is 👌🏻 roof tent is a great shout mate, I bet the van feels huge without a bed inside 😳
