Lived there in 67-68. It was a dot in the road. Watching this is mind boggling. Haven't been back since my mother's funeral in 2009. I was the first Anna High School homecoming queen 🤣 in 1968. 29 kids in my class
Ohh wow I could only imagine how it was around that time! That’s very interesting the first homecoming Queen for Anna HS👑 thank you for sharing your experience :) you will definitely be more shocked if you come visit again haha
I came to Anna three years ago to retire (Anna Town Square). It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My home value has jumped significantly and will only increase in time with all the projects and jobs about to come to the area. I'm surprised you didn't mention the Brew House (3 Nation's Brewery) that's about to be constructed where the old city municipal building used to be. Anna is a very laid back, slow life city where most people keep to themselves (I'm O.K. with that). So newcomers keep that in mind. The Anna Police Department is the most friendliest and professional group of people you will ever come across. The mayor (Nate Pike) actually personally responds to e-mails sent to him. Also, local restaurant Lohoudie's has the best Greek food that you might find in a restaurant in Dallas that may measure up....but I doubt it. Anna is a small town still trying to identify what it wants to be. My advice to newcomers considering moving to Anna is ACT FAST! As a bored retired Air Force veteran with too much time on his hands, I've been tracking the sales of new home sales in the area and they are selling like hotcakes! Get in now while you can!
Hello Dave, thank you for your input. I’m happy to hear about your experience in Anna thus far wish you the best in the future. Also thank you for your service 🫡
Another informative video, you making it harder for me to select the perfect city for me to relocate too. Can you do a video for the best city that offers affordable land near the Dallas-Fort Worth?
I was just looking at Google maps of the Dallas metro and seen so much fresh looking concrete in this city called Anna, And I was like … I bet there’s a backstory to this and sure enough it looks like its a sprawling city. I definitely need to see this place in person 😍
We moved to Melissa, from Richmond TX, last March. So happy with our selection. We do lots of shopping between Anna and McKinney. Anna is a great location for families.
@CEAJR7: Interesting story about Melissa and Buccee's. Buccee's (My fav spot!) initially was pitched to Anna Mayor Pike. He declined as he thought the traffic would be too much too accommodate. A recent interview with Mayor Pike stated that denying Buccee's was his biggest mistake at the time. (No one could have predicted the growth that was about to occur!) Mayor Pike and the city council now have a streamlined policy of approving most initial new construction projects. I don't necessarily agree with that policy. But I respect it.
Hey the weather in Plano pretty much Is the same in the weather in Anna. Prolonged summers normal spring time and short winters, in winter we do experience snow & sleet as well. Ppl tend to stay in during snow and ice days because we can’t drive so schools are closed usually around then.
The one thing I don't see out of all other youtubers that are realtors. They never show the surrounding neighborhoods. Can you Before you start showing the actual house for sale, can you show video of the surrounding neighborhood conditions? This will give us a better idea where we're going to live by. It is not cool to show a very nice neighborhood close to some poor condition. Neighborhoods, this actually will affect the value of the house. I heard the most dangerous places to live in Texas is as follow: Amarillo, Beaumont, Odessa, Donna, San Antonio, Cleveland, Lubbock, Bellmead, Humble & Dallas except the North side crime rate is high in these areas from murders, rape, theft ect...
I wouldn't. Renters are not going to respect the property (because they don't own it). They will trash it out and call you every time something goes wrong.
They have ruined Anna Town Square with the mega apartment buildings, will have 4,000 people trying to get out of one exit every morning. All the essentials, but nothing of quality, Burrus is an overpriced low quality grocery, and the only other option is Walmart. Now than Anna has been ruined the plague is moving north to Van Alstyne, where 30,000 homes are planned. Nice.

Ohh MARQUIS! 😂 I’m glad you’re doing the research then! Maybe we can narrow your search by different regions lol
I enjoyed your somewhat comprehensive comments on Anna. We are planning a move there sometime in March if all goes according to plan.
Thank you for watching !

You mentioned lakes but ignored Lake Texoma. It's far more popular than the other lakes.

Affordable land? maybe thirty years ago

Yes its def a up and coming city for sure
Seems like an excellent place to invest since the growth is tremendous in developing cities.
Thank you and it’s a nice place !
Some of these new folks are just straight up snobs.
Thank you for your information I'm in Jamaica

Hey that’s great to hear ! Thanks for sharing & I agree

In hindsight, I think placing Buccees in Melissa was the right move. Anna is buckling under all of this rapid growth.
Hello can u tell me the weather in plano all the year? I appreciate it

How is security at Anna?
From experience of others they have felt safe in Anna, to get a accurate picture is on safety in Anna check out area vibes or the city date website
Is Anna a good place to invest? Thinking of buying a house and renting it out, ant advice?
I personally like Anna for investment purposes.

Would I encounter racism in Anna? I’m kinda nervous about this having younger children.
For the most part I haven’t heard any complaints
