- Don Giovanni (Mariusz Kwiecień) organises a party, during which he sings his 'Champagne aria'. This aria is one of the shortest of Mozart's operas, lasting just two minutes but it is key to understanding his character, namely; his taste for the festivities, his desire to seduce and his inexhaustible energy.
Streamed live on OperaVision on 12 July 2018 at 20:00 CET and for 1 month: bit.ly/DonGiovanniEN

Liszt: write that down! WRITE THAT DOWN! *WRITE THAT DOWN!*
Sickening production with great singing.
😊 excellent performance
well done , amazing performance
Oooh wow
Jesus my eyes
Don't know what that projection was supposed to do. Might have been better for the last scene when Giovanni is dragged down to hell. What's with the tempo? So fast that Marius is gasping for breath, no time for any nuance at that breakneck speed. Shame on Mark Minowski for taking it that fast.
Seems like a pretty normal speed to me…?
@@mollyholly3547 this is not the original tempo. Anything faster depends on the singer if he cant do it, the director should put aside his ego and play what the singer can sing.
Superb singing, but the moving, kaleidoscope effect is ridiculous in effect and distracts from the singing, and that's a sin.
It's definitely a sin... Took soo much away... My question is just: why? The si ger along standing there line not giving a f#&€ would make so much moreee out of the scene... Props for your comment a d for the unload
I agree. It wasn't necessary.
They just used this choreography for a showing of Don Giovanni in the LA opera. Overall the show was very nice and the rotating set does fit the farcical and intrigue nature of Don Giovanni, but the projection overlays in generally seem weird, over-the-top, and out of place -- agreed.
