Hi guys thanks for this awesome video and for traveling to such a remote yet nice and peaceful place. Let's hope it remains this way. Take care and keep posting please :)
We really enjoyed it, we traveled along the coast all the way to Brazil and videoed along the way. It was a blast, we both can’t wait to get back down there to get into the Amazon a bit more.
Solid video, would be nice to see additional interviews with the locals on their life stories etc. Also would be nice to see some of the hiking / nature-related spots.
Fully agree! We have been talking about a trip back to guayana to get to do a more in depth look at the country. Both of those kinds of interviews will be priority 1.
@@JustLifeTravels Nice, I highly recommend attending an Indo-Guyanese (Hindu) prayer ceremony (called a puja / jhandi) when you go back. You can even attend / document one while in the US (in Queens, NY). This represents a more ancient preserved aspect of the culture that was passed down from the Bhojpuri speaking region of India. I haven't seen other RUclipsrs documenting this. The ceremony functions as a get-together as well as a meditative experience, and the community is extremely welcoming to outsiders, regardless of belief system. This would also allow you a more in depth experience and would also attract more engagement on your videos since Indian-featuring content attracts a significant amount of attention (from India itself).
Anna Regina is the largest town in Essequibo. Suddie and Charity are a bit smaller. Supernaam, where you are is only a small part of Essequibo. You guys need a taxi ride up the coastal road to see all of Essequibo. This is just a small snippet video, next time arrive early and do the whole tour. Some nice black water lakes to swim in at Mainstay. Thanks for sharing your vlog.
That is a good idea, we didn’t have a hotel booked over there because we didn’t know we would go over there at all originally so we booked in Georgetown only. When we go back we will certainly be able to go more in depth
Venezuela dispute over Essequibo, Guyana is based on territory claimed but never actually occupied by Grand Columbia. The same grand Columbia Venezuela helped destroy for independence. Since the establishment of British Guiana and now independent Guyana, Venezuelan authorities have recognized the essequibo as the sovereign territory of Guyana, even planting flags with Brazil on the western border. These false claims come with economic and political desperation. All of Guyana's founding parents are British and US born citizens with the first female president being born in Chicago, Illinois, but the symbolic structure is native indigenous. Golden Arrowhead flag, national dish, presidential crown seal and country name. Venezuela has no legitimate rights.
I fully agree Venezuelas claims are made up whole cloth from historical revisionism and wishful thinking from a desperate country that wants to unify its people against foreign countries instead of them realizing their own government is their biggest enemy.

We visited because in Florida there are many people from Guyana so it started our interest, then we decided we would like to see the “Guyanas” French, Dutch, British and Portuguese. Obviously we couldn’t go to the Spanish one because it’s in Venezuela. To see a unique area of the world that not many people really visit.
You guys were fantastic in your adventures but you miss the best sites in essequibo, Supernaam where you went was good you miss the best if you have gone further than you went. You miss out big time the best places.
Like using them to benefit some way? I’m interested in what exactly you mean because we unfortunately weren’t there long enough to really find out everyone’s opinions on it.
@@JustLifeTravels Because it was a very jungle land to control back then, but historically my country have our legal ownsership of Essequibo than Guyana!
Venezuela is much poorer and has a much lower living standard than Guyana, if they took the area it would only mean more people suffering from the incompetence of the Venezuelan government.

To the best of my analysis the government are playing politics with these Venezuelan people

Be careful with these two guys listening to their voices while you watch
