In 35 years of playing golf, I’ve never seen anyone be able to convey information in a way that’s so understandable by the golfing public.. It’s crazy that you shifted 76% of your pressure to your trail side with such relative ease! I never could get the analogy of skipping a rock or throwing a ball. It now is clear to me. Shifting too much mass to the trail side and too much right side bend and I never had a chance. I tried this today on the course and it was an instant game changer!1
Great explanation of distinguishing shifting pressure in the backswing vs body mass / weight. Like the link between getting pressure correctly onto your trail side onto your trail / right foot / onto the balls of your foot. While also allowing you to pull your trail / right shoulder up and away behind you. Then also allowing / facilitating a big shoulder rotation of your lead shoulder across and over your trail leg. Loving your one piece move away moving your navel as you do so to 8 o’clock shifting pressure onto the trail foot as you do so. Like your emphasis on spinning the right side down. But would caution against telling golfers to avoid a lateral move towards the target. We understand the difference between a slide of the hips without any weight shift or hip rotation. The high handicap player won’t be able to understand this. You do need to laterally shift your hips target side while shifting pressure and clearing your lead hip back. A squat & lateral shift move into last parallel P6 delivery position.
Interesting! So first, we load the pressure in the inside of right foot(right hand player) while keeping the weight centered, then in the downswing, to create horizontal force, it's not a slide toward the target, but instead, no slide and only upper body rotation and left leg act as support?
We want to load the pressure into the trail Cuboid during the backswing. As for the weight staying centered, I would say that the spine stays neutral while the lead SC joint moves towards the trail cuboid which creates a rotation of the lead shoulder to the trail side of the body, as well as a good amount of shoulder tilt to help keep the club from getting stuck underneath the “plane”. The horizontal force is a push from the trail side towards lead side, and if you haven’t first loaded the trail side, what is there to push? In my opinion, the reason most golfers struggle with low point control is due to a lack of pressure being loaded into the backswing. All the best.
Brilliant explanation of Pressure vs Weight shift. Love the advice to pivot your trail shoulder down early in transition from the top of your backswing. Down not out for you golfers who simply turn flat ftom The top & take your self over plane. But what I see you doing is different to your explanation of the downswing shift pressure move. Your first move from the top is in fact a shift of pressure over onto your lead foot, as you squat / flex down into your lead side. Your lead hip is pulled back to parallel as you do this. But as you pressure into your lead side your hips will naturally move laterally as you pressure into the ground. You must move laterally in the downswing. But you’re 100% right it’s not a slide with zero pressure shift, which as you correctly describe would tilt you back keeping wrongly weight on your trail side in transition. Love this video. But don’t scare people off doing a correct lateral shift of pressure to the target. All great golfers do this. Their hips are alsways further forward at impact than they were at address. That’s a fact.

Outstanding, glad you were able to see some improvement. Keep grinding and all the best.
Thank you so much for this great. video. Love it.
Thank you.

Once again, feel free to share on your channel. All the best.
This is such an incredible explanation. Instant subscribe.
Thank you, glad it was helpful.
Nice playing with you guys the other day 🤙🏻
Always a good time when we can get out! All the best.
Can you explain more about twisting upper body in backswing ?
We have done several videos on torque and creating hand depth that you can check out on our channel. All the best.
I believe you eluded to the benefit of this in another video if I’m not mistaken
There is definitely some crossover from video to video. All the best.
