Karen was amazing, but never forget that her brother was also key to their sound. Richard was a truly gifted arranger and songwriter. It took the both of them.

I threw my sadness away on Feb. 23, 1975. Baptized in the morning, met her in the afternoon, married in June of '76, been 42 years! What God puts together let no man put asunder. This song has always reminded me of those lonely times and how fortunate I truely am! Karen and Richard were so special!
This song gave me the inspiration to go on in my childhood whenever I hear from the Valve Radio of those radio.

Karen's " lower register" voice, at it's finest. From the 1st time I heard this, I knew it was a classic. No one --I mean, no one !--ever had that lower voice like Karen did. and Rich was a master at arrangement. Wolfsky9
check out a video that has a young lady who was on one of those VOICE compatitions from another country and I swear her voice sounds so much like Karens, even her brother said so
Exactly, when talking about alto voices, most people I know think like the voices belong to Cher, Tony Braxton etc. But I prefer this kind of voice that can reach mezzo casually when still maintaning that "lower register".
