I had a black one if these in 1982. I bought it with everything I had saved in my 17 years. I have had many bikes but I loved that one the most . It was FJK122Y. It meant freedom and was seriously quick when I had smacked out the exhaust restriction. My good friend Jonathan Wallis had a blue one just like . Fantastic bikes and fantastic times. After years of huge cruisers and ADV bikes I have just bought a Honda CRF300L - it is light and cheeky and makes me feel 17 again...
Never seen such a neat and precise restoration. It's like an unboxed unsold non current bike, mint new straight from the factory. I used to see them with yellow front lightbulb (probably because they were imported in France and then delivered (with a huge mark-up price) in very few quantity in Italy.
@bonniechops1 Hi Yes I am in the middle of another one now but its quite a rare 10V 17F model that came with gold wheels & yellow decals as standard & it's already sold 😁
@@brassbikesuk4826 AHH cool, will you post a vid when finished please. 😊 I absolutely love these bikes, I should never let mine go, brings back great memories when I viewed the blue on you finished 👌🏻🏴
Beautiful restoration job .👍👌 I have been sourcing parts and restoring my 1978 DT125E for the past 6 years and still a long way from completion....hope that it turns out as good as yours has. 🙏👌👍

mate that is beautiful. I had a dt50mx for my first bike and loved it. always wanted the rd125lc but went for the rd125lc instead. ps love the dt blue colour 😎👍
Good question M8 ! I share your point....I bought a scrap 1978 DT125E. which had 50 percent of parts missing...6 years ago.....1485 hours spent on restoring and still way off complete . Missing parts I have bought from....drum roll ....Thailand ,Croatia,Indonesia,NewZealand, Netherlands,England,Australia,USA and Argentina and have had to make several others that were impossible to find. Hoping to complete it by the end of 2023. 🙏👍
hi, where do you buy parts like cilinder kit, headlight (complete with cap) ?? i have one but im worried for when my cilinder would get broke in the future AND it got a ugly new gen headlight on it

That is a great restoration! I am restoring a dt125lc from 1982 and would need a new chain guard 10V-22151-00. Do you know where i could find one?
Thanks, Martin Quick on ebay might have 1 🤔
@@brassbikesuk4826 would you have a link?
@@MatthiasVermeersch No sorry
Hey Brass, how do you manage to get the parts for these brilliant bikes?
Hi, I only bought complete bikes to start with & then try to source as many original parts as possible over the years 😀
@@brassbikesuk4826 that's brilliant, I would love to roll the clock bake to 1983 and ride my one again 😭

Hi, I would only buy 1 to restore if it had all the original parts as I don't use aftermarket bits 😁
@@brassbikesuk4826 were original parts hard to find?
@@manbroBE You can't find them anywhere now
Crackin' job mate! - I had a 1986 'C' reg one years ago. I used it a lot off-road & it was fantastic. Brings back great memories.

Hi They are a nightmare to do if they aren't complete when you start 👍
I have 2 more to finish then I am retired 😅
Dude blur the plate scammers are everywhere
Go ride it
Gaiters where did you get then mate like hens teeth
You can't buy the gaitors anywhere. I wouldn't buy the bike if the gaitors weren't good as you say they are like hens teeth 😬
