I believe Prince probably played all those instruments.Cause I know that he was quite musically inclined as far as playing different musical instruments and and I'm a good fan.But of course he was from minnesota yeah.🎉

Yes, he did. He could make a record and play everything himself, from the guitar, drums, keyboard etc and he was self taught.

I was a big fan of Prince. He was a musical genius, without a doubt. I loved his Super Bowl performance. He was huge in my high school years, 1983-1987. At my school dances they always played his songs, especially Purple Rain.

What a great place! Loved the idea that you are allowed to play Whoopee John's piano. Also the Garrison Keillor display made me want to read 'Lake Wobegon Days' again. Thank you Jordan and Katie for this tremendous visit.

      ❤ Garrison Keillor, for decades❣️
      He's been on-the-road,
      nationwide, since last year,
celebrating the 50th anniversary of his beloved Prairie Home Companion radio show.
      He's currently on Substack,
      publishing new columns, weekly,
reading our comments, and posting his daily almanac of poetry, and author bios.
      My favorite are his weekly
      Posts to the Host uploads.
Folks email him, and he shares
      their musings. 💞
      💝.

@@WhenImBackInChicago Many thanks, I'll certainly give this a look. Over here in Britain we were introduced to him in the 80's when he published 'Lake Wobegon Days'. As well as BBC interviews, he did some readings on the radio and became tremendously popular. Back then we only had 4 television stations, therefore anyone who appeared or was featured in them had the majority of the population as an audience. Nowadays, with so many viewing options it's easy to lose track of all these talented individuals who made life that bit more interesting, more civilized. I look forward to reacquainting myself with his work. Once more, many thanks.

You're kind, and very welcome. 💞
I was introduced to his radio show in 2002.
Loved it so much, I spent every Saturday evening glued to my 📻, and relistened Sunday mornings, too.
Today, he posted his upcoming tour schedule for added dates in
      Dublin, London, and Edinburgh
      ... October 15, 17, and 19, respectively. 🥰
Hope you catch-up to him, Alan. ☺️

@@WhenImBackInChicago Many thanks once more. Although the travel distance rules out the live events for us, it is really welcome news he is returning to the U.K. I'm certain he will captivate a whole new generation of fans, as well as reminding those of us who remember him fondly from the 80's that he is still producing captivating work (I read the first chapter of 'Cheerfulness' on his website after receiving your email). Hopefully the BBC and the British Press will give the tour the publicity it deserves and Garrison Keillor's work will, once more, be a welcome presence in our local bookstores.

Just awesome. Minnesota has and has had some fine musicianship, my Timberwolves bowed out of the Western Conference Finals. We thought The Big Ticket Kevin Garnett would be in attendence. Last time he showed up he rocked the Prince jersey! It's one of the best ever Timberwolves jerseys.

That motorcycle is rare CM400A hondamatic produced in only 1981. 2 speed semi automatic. If you run across one on your many travels pick it up. Prince wanted a Harley but couldn't hold up or time to learn to ride. He was a small dude but a giant on stage. Im telling you a rare bike id love to own one. Only automatic bike at time and many yrs after. Some tagged large scooters are automatic but they aren't real motor cycles. Per say. Awesome bike id give my left testicles for one. Happy travels stay safe.

Crow; Evil Woman. Didn’t like it when I was 7, still feel the same at 61. lol Yet music back then sounded so tinny, not the richness even of that of the late 70’s. Jonny Lang 👍

Who ever that guy was that was Johnny Lang's guitar player was hired once he got a record deal. His guitar teacher Ted Larson who was responsible for Johnny even playing blues will probably never be mentioned. Johnny was from Fargo, ND. Ted had a blues band in Fargo and was a guitar teacher. Johnny came to him wanting to learn popular music. Ted said how about Albert Collins. BB king and blues. Ted is the one who got Johnny in his band when he was like 14. And was responsible for his early success and him getting his record deal. Ted played rhythm on Johnnys first record. I am pretty sure Ted was pushed out by the record company. I owned a guitar shop in Uptown Mpls in 1997. My business partner was from Fargo and knew both Johnny and Ted. Johnny used to come into the store and Ted who had moved to Minneapolis by then did lessons there for a while. But just so you know that guy had nothing to do with Johnnys development and was hired by the record company.
