A fucking wolf dog ate your couch. Sims actually have fun painting, as they should. You're in the club and it's fucking lit. Onlooker sims are reacting to the dance floor shenanigans, and it's not even a selectable prompt, it's just the game doing its thing. All the perverts coming to cheer on public woohooing. The social aspect and interactiveness, and immersiveness of TS2 just shines over TS4 by a mile.

Nah i installed sims2 a few days ago and played it. It wasn't that difficult. Sims1 is the real pain in the ass. Sims3 is the most easy to maintain a friend.

There is so much stuff in the Sims 2 that should have been standard for all versions to follow. The Sims 3 had some interesting additions to the franchise but it stripped a lot of things that should still be there.

There was one time in the sims 2 that I strayed away from my usual play style. I had a family that had 2 daughters. They moved into their own spaces as adults and sister A found a husband. Sister B was single and I’d given her the serial romantic aspiration for the first time. She had to have 10 boyfriends at the same time. I was getting into the groove of spicing things up and sister A’s husband started having an affair with sister B. I gave sister A the backstory of not being able to conceive, with that her husband ended up sleeping with B and they had a baby together. By this time they’d added toddlers and the ability to adopt so he and his wife adopted a boy. He had 2 families within a family. 😂😂
Don't forget, you can have them meditate to not let their needs go down and just pass time. If my memory is correct, clicking on the Sim you are using will let you do this.

My parents bought me the Sims 2 base game and the pets expansion at a yard sale in the early 2000s. I was so excited because I loved Sims 1 but the Sims 2 was too advanced for my ancient computer. Oh the memories. Such a good game though.
This is the best thing ever. It actually convinced me to download it off my App Store on my iMac (I got the whole collection for $30, US). I transferred it to my external hard-drive and it runs great. But I swear, I went into create a sim and started laughing so hard because of how bad it is. Sims 4 wins that battle, hands down, even though some of the clothes are better in sims 2. If we could have sims 2 with sims 4 graphics, I don’t think anybody would ever complain about it. 😂
Oh! I just remembered who the Calientes are. They are part alien and the theory goes that they got Bella Goth abducted by their alien grandparent(That's why Bella isn't in the Sims 2), because they wanted to steal her rich husband! Plumbella made a video about it.
p@@sherrybrissette1614 She is in Strangetown, but she has no memories when you meet her there. In the basic Sims 2 the rest of the Goth family lives without her, but still has recent memories of her. That's why there's a whole theory about her disappearance :)

I remember in the sims 2, you couldn't build on a diagonal, but with that weird sphere thing, you could drag your items in there and they would turn to a diagonal (move objects on if I remember right) love the sims 2 content!! ♥️♥️
You should do a “no pause” challenge, just like regular sims except you CAN’T pause the game manually! Love your sims 2 series also btw, SERIOUS nostalgia from my younger days :,)
Really?? I think it’s quite the opposite tbh I feel like Sims 2 is the perfect mix of realism and silliness, Sims 3 was more realistic, still a bit of silliness but then sims 4 is just ridiculously silly and unrealistic, especially the emotions system
@@GG-xcx9z I see what you mean. I agree with you about the downward trajectory of the silliness across games. I guess I was just using realism as the opposite of silliness and really referring to the impact on gameplay elements, so I didn't like that sims 4 removed things like the spontaneous robberies where you can fight off the robbers, making it more realistic but more boring. But you're right, visually the sims 4 world doesn't look as realistic as that of the sims 3, and many of the animations and behavior elements are very clunky in a way that cuts into immersion for the player.
13:49 The Sims 3 also has the dancing sphere and you don't need a water tank to scuba dive since scuba diving is a more fleshed out feature. The Sims 3 also has the mechanic bull from TS1 House Party, the archery range from TS1 Vacation, the classic pool table, the restorable car from FreeTime, snowboard half-pipe from TS1 Vacation, the putting green from The Sims 2, among other entertainment objects. Almost every object featured in TS1 and 2 (except most career rewards from 2) were included at some point for 3.
Loading screen, loading screen, we all love the loading screen. . .actually, the Sims 2 one is more entertaining than the Sims 4 one. Can we get the strips lighting up again? And also that novel customization system? I never got a proper chance to play around with that! And we could use photo booths too. . .damn it, I'm loving this series, but it just makes my heart ache for all the stuff that's in Sims 2 that would probably (hopefully) be even better in Sims 4. (And yes, I kind of miss being able to go out all night, and come back to the exact same time I left. Took me a while to get used to the constantly-running clock in Sims 4.) Delightful as always -- nice to get out on the town and see what Sims 2 had to offer for community lots again. :) That hobby club was so bad, and yet so good. (You miss the pool table, I miss the pinball machines.) And the clubs, and the hedge maze, and Sims crowding around to cheer public woohoo. XD Imagine that in Sims 4 -- you could probably have a Sim die from embarrassment right then and there! XD And, of course, James can't resist flirting with the "try for baby" option. Looks like you're going to HAVE to move to a bigger lot now!

They can also teleport around the lot once they are really good at meditating
You hAve to have a high fitness level to do this- but once you master the hidden meditation skill you can teleport around the lot
Guys, it’s logic skill that allows you to meditate. Fitness is for yoga.

You should do a “no pause” challenge, just like regular sims except you CAN’T pause the game manually! Love your sims 2 series also btw, SERIOUS nostalgia from my younger days :,)

I miss the silliness of sims 2. definitely with every new generation the comedic/silly elements get removed for more realism
Really?? I think it’s quite the opposite tbh I feel like Sims 2 is the perfect mix of realism and silliness, Sims 3 was more realistic, still a bit of silliness but then sims 4 is just ridiculously silly and unrealistic, especially the emotions system
@@GG-xcx9z I see what you mean. I agree with you about the downward trajectory of the silliness across games. I guess I was just using realism as the opposite of silliness and really referring to the impact on gameplay elements, so I didn't like that sims 4 removed things like the spontaneous robberies where you can fight off the robbers, making it more realistic but more boring. But you're right, visually the sims 4 world doesn't look as realistic as that of the sims 3, and many of the animations and behavior elements are very clunky in a way that cuts into immersion for the player.

13:49 The Sims 3 also has the dancing sphere and you don't need a water tank to scuba dive since scuba diving is a more fleshed out feature. The Sims 3 also has the mechanic bull from TS1 House Party, the archery range from TS1 Vacation, the classic pool table, the restorable car from FreeTime, snowboard half-pipe from TS1 Vacation, the putting green from The Sims 2, among other entertainment objects. Almost every object featured in TS1 and 2 (except most career rewards from 2) were included at some point for 3.
Loading screen, loading screen, we all love the loading screen. . .actually, the Sims 2 one is more entertaining than the Sims 4 one. Can we get the strips lighting up again? And also that novel customization system? I never got a proper chance to play around with that! And we could use photo booths too. . .damn it, I'm loving this series, but it just makes my heart ache for all the stuff that's in Sims 2 that would probably (hopefully) be even better in Sims 4. (And yes, I kind of miss being able to go out all night, and come back to the exact same time I left. Took me a while to get used to the constantly-running clock in Sims 4.)
Delightful as always -- nice to get out on the town and see what Sims 2 had to offer for community lots again. :) That hobby club was so bad, and yet so good. (You miss the pool table, I miss the pinball machines.) And the clubs, and the hedge maze, and Sims crowding around to cheer public woohoo. XD Imagine that in Sims 4 -- you could probably have a Sim die from embarrassment right then and there! XD And, of course, James can't resist flirting with the "try for baby" option. Looks like you're going to HAVE to move to a bigger lot now!
I didn't play Sims until Sims 4, so it's nice to see a previous version of the game and all the different things that they've done with the franchise!!
