My first dog was a dachshund. I was 4. She passed when I was 18. I've had several dogs since, none of them doxies. I'm 60 years old now and have 3 dogs. The oldest is a chocolate lab. Second is a sheltie and I wanted my last to be a Doxie. He's 2 years old. A long haired chocolate pie colored Doxie. He's so much fun and all 3 are inseparable 💕

It is a awesome family of furs. I have a huge yard right on a river and also a island that my lab, Jack, absolutely loves. We put a sign on it that says Jack's island. He plunges in it all the time!
We lost our red doxie Rusty last January and we miss him so. We still have one senior , Pepper yet . We love dachshunds , they are so loyal and lovable . ❤️

This completely cracks me up!😂We have a mini dapple doxie Lucy-Begonia and there is just “SOMETHING” about their personality! They are loving, loyal, smart, persistent, hard headed, and def love being center of attention. We allow it to certain extent, but when guests are at the house Lucy usually has to go to her bed in our bedroom if we are serving food. After, we let her come out if it is casual get together. He is adorable, just a dog an yes he put of the family. I have had 3 of this type dog love them to pieces. Unfortunately they have all gone to dog heaven. Just love him.

It's been going on three years for mine. I'm just now considering getting another one again. Perhaps early next year. But at least I'm leaning that way. Never thought I could when my dear one passed away. Videos like these bring it all back home to me.

My daughter had a red dachshund named Coco who left us 3 years ago. She was one month shy of 13. Her first Thanksgiving she pretended she did not care about the cheese tray on the coffee table. We were talking around the low table and was a torpedo as she came by and took several long pieces of cheese. She was not happy later because she took the pepper Jack cheese and had smelly farts. We sure miss Coco but now our daughter had two black and tan doxies, one short hair and one long hair, named Ruthie and Xena our grand pups.💗

Had a mini Emma a rescue who I lost last February. Devastated as I live alone. Missed her terribly. After a few months I had covid and missed Emma more. I started looking and found Lily half dachshund half beagle.

So cute. Ive had dachsunds for yrs. This one is precious but little tooo thin. When looking from over them and their ribs stick out pronounced thats too thin. I know you have to watch them and they will get overweight but theres a fine line here. Buy some treats and give them to that baby. Better yet i make my own. Healthier. Oatmeal, apples. Peas. Yogurt. Mine have a cup of yogurt once a week. Keeps urinary tract infections away. We go fastfood for a pupcup. They all have them.
LOOK THEIR LIVES ARE NOT LONG ON THIS EARTH. THEY NEED TO ENJOY IT AND YOU WITH IT.
