Alesia Michelle is a Eurovision blogger, based in the United States and has been covering the Eurovision Song Contest on RUclips since 2015. The 68th Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted in Malmö, Sweden. Semifinals and finals will be held May 7th, 9th and 11th in Malmö Arena.

Zorja DELIVERED!!!! She ate it! Breskvica huge dissapointment with performance and visuals, not well thought through, looked outdated.
Zorja should win PZE! The staging, the voice! Insane performance!

I am telling you, Zorja (Serbia), Baby Lasagna (Croatia) and Raiven (Slovenia) are literally my Top 3 for Eurovision this year. Yugoslavia manifesting itself to the top!

Omg you're the ONLY PERSON who clocked the reverb/volume issue with Lena and Zorja. I said that to everyone, even Zorja's director and brother in law (the bald guy in the greenroom) and he said in the studio they heard her right. I told him look, they messed up the vocal mix. No one else commenting online heard it lol.

I can tell you I am watching PZE because of Konstrakta
I wasn’t a fan of Zorja’s song as much as others, but I can see the merits and I wouldn’t be mad if it won. BUT I need her to change the staging. It’s way too over the top in an outdated way. The song, to me, is already dramatic in a cheesy way and this doesn’t help. No reflections please. It needs to be more abstract and soft but striking; Konstrakta’s type of stagings would really suit this song. I really hope Zorja makes these changes, because otherwise she is phenomenal.

my faves of Serbia so far are the Bojana-David duo and Zorja. however, I am still slightly leaning towards Zorja.

Most of the people I wanted in the final made it.
Some impressions:
Lena looks like an improv comedian when they have to somehow incorporate a randomly picked prop into their established routine. 😂
Breskvica's song and even her performance has potential, however, it needs a MASSIVE overhaul. The main thing that would instantly improve it is replacing the musicians with dancers and a better outfit. I like the song, but if she wins, I really hope they revemp it and make it more contemporary. That way we'd have a cut for the traditionalists and a cut that would actually have a chance at ESC.
Zorja has a VOICE, that's indisputable, but her song does absolutely nothing for me. Her staging concept seems juvenile and overly simplistic, and I've always hated floating heads on the screen. Very nice outfit though and, of course, that VOICE.
I love the studio version of Sama. Unfortunately, Chai was a deer in the headlights miliseconds away from breaking down and having a panic attack.
Studio version of Vavilon didn't leave any impression on me. I don't even remember listening to it, but somehow, and I don't know why or how, the live performance grabbed me, and I was very sad to see it go 😩.
Waiting for this semi final, Zorja was my favorite in it, but I have to admit, even tho I love the song, and she slayed the vocals, the performance wasn't that strong. The beginning and the ending are great, but the middle part has to change completely, the mirrors, her face in the leds, I don't think it elevated the performance enough as it should have. I still would be happy if she wins, but it needs a lot of work if she does win.
My favorite last night was Hristina, I really liked the song in the first place but now with that staging she elevated it so much, it looks beautiful, expensive, emotional, she made it more competitive then it is and I'm so happy she qualified, I was scared for her.
Breskvica I didn't like at all last night, the song is good, but that live was so underwhelming, the whole package seems like it's 20 years late.
Can't wait for the next semi, I think we have more heavy hitters there

And I think both Zorja and Breskvica are outdated and oldschoolish.
Lenas outfit ruined her natural elegance and beauty.
I liked Chai too, she was amazing, I loved her voice! Just , she was very wooden. She needed to own the stage like Mango. Unfortunately , lacked that expressionist presence.
But it's not IT COULD BE, you literally described it - Zorja indeed recorded with an orchestra, Breskvica is just midi sounds.

Flying forbidden at esc? Wha? But being high up like Kate Miller-Heidke is ok? Also, Chai's vocals weren't good. And she took her lyrics too seriously (Alone, now I dance alone)
