I'm so sad passion kites doesn't have the large polka fish kite like yours. I've been eyeing that for a year. Nice display Glenn, you never fail to leave me awestruck
@@PanyingPilot yup they are no more. Only an act of god will help me get one now. They look fairly simple design wise. Simple that is for someone who can sew Lol I asked if I could buy the pattern
who would have thought that there would be wind issues on the beach? I spent the last hour here at home with the wind gusting, dying, changing direction etc. while I tried a few different kites to see what flew best in low wind. So..I am glad to see that it isn't just Ohio with fickle winds! Still a beautiful show you all had...
Good choices. I recommend adding half inch split rings to each tail attachment point. Tails will be easier to manage this way. Refer to my tutorial on trotline clips. Glenn.
What a lovely spot, and some wonderful people to fly with! If only you'd had a little more wind, it would have been perfect. Good to see the Trilobites doing so well - what a great find they were. I wouldn't want to be without mine now.
They are a delight Jim. We are all lucky to have the Trilobites. Truth be known, there was enough wind to sustain the 7M tbite. The 10M wouldn't launch. I did have my satisfaction at last as you shall soon see.
Thanks Glenn for sharing your Party video. Great location , great kites and fliers. Wishing you could have had more constant winds. It's sometimes hard to get all three at once.
Hi Maciah, The American Kiteflyers Assiciation website and FB page are good starters. Premier brand makes excellent kites. Brick and mortar kite shops are good places to visit. Attend organized kite events in your area and ask to be introduced to some experience kiteflyers. If you see someone on the beach or park that seems to know what they are doing, talk to them! Finally you can always chat with me at mitchell93210@gmail.com.
Any of the ITW DC or DDC Kites are good. They and Gomberg stand behind their product. I have GKites French Military kite. It is a good product. Premier stuff is good too! The main difference is that The ITW Alpine will rise in lighter winds. The Stratosphere does well in 7+MPH breezes. Let me know what you pull the trigger on.
Excellent video indeed Sir!

Thanks Glenn, I great tip indeed. !
Hi Glenn, i am looking at the ITW stratosphere DC. I noticed your comment on the spars issue. Do you recommend a kite dc over this one? Thanks

what's the name of the blues song at 5:26? Shazam and Soundhound couldn't figure it out :)
Hi, it's a piece of production music, not a popular tune. Sounds pretty good though!
I,m from India and make my own kites. Could I join in next time around?
