Tower Creator Moderator and Curator here! Glad to see you playin this. Here's a few things to note: - There's a few buttons at the top left you might find useful. Here's what they do: 1. You already figured this one out. The mouse with the arrow things is "Drag to Move". Click the button, and it'll become green. Then, click and hold on a part to drag it! *Please note, drag to move is pretty buggy lol, gotta love games in Alpha being buggy as heck.* That's why the part on the truss kept moving uncontrollably! 2. "Snap Rotation" is the circle arrow. Moving a part with either Drag to Move or when you are placing it initially will update the rotation to match the part. 3. "Anchor Spinners" is what it sounds like. Spinners stop moving - only in the editor though! 4. The music library is where you can get IDs for the Music Part. - Tower wise, public servers are... far from high quality, usually. I recommend checking out the December Monthly Highlights! They were hand picked by me and another curator. - Spheres and cylinders fall under the "Appearance" tab! - Tower Creator isn't being updated much really at the moment, as the scripts for the game are spaghetti code (a.k.a AWFUL). They're working on revamping the scripts so the game is easier to update! - Feel free to hop in the Discord server for the game if you ever feel like checking out some towers by people who spend a lotta time in the game in your own time! Head to #tower-reviews and go under the "Pass" tag to find some good ones. If you have any other questions not answered, feel free to reply - I'll try respond, if I see it in my notifications.

a tower creator video???? No way!! btw if you will make part 2 i suggest checking out monthly highlights just to see what good towers people can create in this game
ok i watched the video and i SEE you need a tutor. ial pretty sure you've got it figured out by now, the little 1 stud gr(e/a)y block is the tower portals teleporter, and its supposed to be invisible about the "grouping spinning parts" thing, you cant really do that but you can change the offset of the spinning platform in behavior. to fix very irritating tiny gaps and misalignments, you can change your "move increments" in settings. both text and images are separate, as for text theres a specific part for it, where for images you need to add it yourself in attachments. to add music, there is a selection of songs allowed in the game, which you can see in the music selection menu (the button is in the top left corner, you'll find it) thats all you should (mainly) know about the game, hope this helped
You just gave me a cool video idea, maybe I'll make it? (Probably not, school's pressuring) but other than that, decent video, definitely appreciating the fact that it isn't stretched out to 40 minutes. Good job!
While yes this game has some flaws about not really teaching you any mechanics such as differences between Global, Local, and Last movement/rotation work, the concepts are much more simple imo compared to Obby Creator. He’s me explaining them in some detail so you can actually understand how games related to studio work and to not look like a clueless idiot who doesn’t understand basic building logistics. Despite the colour changing thing for you being a lot harder to understand, it’s much simpler to understand and more specific on what colour you want unlike the default hexagon selector. Left bar means what hue you want it to be (colour in the rainbow) middle means what saturation you want it to be (dark to light), and right means what value you want it to be (grey to black). This gives more choices with colour without needing you to pick out specific RGB values. The copy colour thing as well it’s the same or similar to Obby Creators, so it really shouldn’t have been any more complicated. Drag selecting you do find out later that it’s a button in the top left corner you have to turn on, however nobody likes using it because it’s annoying and causes a lot of misalignments (the little gaps you make sometimes and how they don’t fit together unless you do it a certain way). To fix the misalignment issue you can click on the button to the right of it. This makes it so any part will be snapped to grid on any rotated part or otherwise. Pressing “Q” and “E” will let you cycle between 3 different options: movement (arrows), resize (spheres), and rotation (red, green, and blue spheres on a circle). You could have accidentally pressed “Q” while you were trying to resize the killbrick to make it the floor. Or you could have held down your mouse, missed clicking on the sphere and clicked the floor, moved your mouse up still holding it, and since the game registers it as another click, and the default option when selecting a part is to move it, the game will just put you into the movement option. Now for some nitpicks from the start of the video to before building the tower. The loading screen is nearly useless, since skipping it and not doesn’t make anything happen, not even a big of a lag spike. However if you skip the loading screen while the bar doesn’t go up, you get softlocked. This is because on their spaghetti coding, skipping the loading screen depends on the movement of the loading screen. If it doesn’t move, it won’t move, if it does move, it will move. Simple eay to bypass this is wait for the loading screen to go to around 1/4 to 1/3 of the bar (since clicking to early softlocks the game to) wait for it to move to click on it. This is quite possible the dumbest this that’s ever been said that I’m making a new paragraph just to explain this basic concept of perception. When you said “the conveyors are inverted, why does this one move me this way when it should move me the other way”. This is dependent on how you look at the damn conveyors. If you see them from a certain way, the left conveyor will move you to the left/down, and the right one will move you to the right/up (remember perception). Similarly if you look at it from the opposite direction, the left conveyor will move you right/up and the right conveyor will move you down/left. It’s just about the perspective on how you look at it. Plus if you still think it’s inverted by whatever logic you have, you can just… jump over the conveyors. Or use the teleport feature. You only need to press “F” for any type of corner flip, even for any in JToH. Some may require you to kill right after, but you don’t need to press shift or move your camera at all. Remember this is when corner clipping got patched, they needed some way to bring it back, so this was a simple way to have it brought into the game while it having some unique features to boot. You DON’T need to treat them like actual corner clips. The Tower of Nightmarish Altitudes/Tower of Height Terror is Extreme difficulty, not Terrifying. The colour of the portal is darker than the general cyan used for Terrifying. Also the tower itself is a lot easier then both of the said difficulties and you could really just treat the gbj/instant death on F1 as just playing a regular tower, since failing F1 of any tower requires you to restart it anyways. It’s just that it’ll take some more time to get back. And most of the gameplay you see there is usually in remorseless/insane towers and yet you managed to fail a 3 stud wrap on a spinner, which is so easy, it’s used in like intense or possibly lower difficulties. This entire comment is to give you advice on a more technical stance because I don’t want people who don’t know as much saying something that is completely wrong. And maybe you can get some of the terminology right, so you don’t look silly in camera.
i read all of this... some of the mechanics still make no sense to me still. when i tried to place some of the parts as seen in the video, they were bugging out like crazy. placing the parts too sometimes just had the slightest misalignments, and it made the overall experience just unpleasant. the conveyors aren't about perception, they just go in opposite ways, which makes me believe that this was made by foreign developers. i'm just used to the conveyors being on the right is all. despite me being an idiot, which i was, im also NOT a builder. besides, this was my FIRST time playing, im not as experienced as everyone else is. building isn't my strongsuit, and i don't personally see myself being good at it. perhaps WAAAAYY in the future. 😂
@@AKYO_r The parts bugging out could have been because your camera angle was a bit weirdly placed on an angle and your mouse was on that weird dead spot, so it bugs out a lot when you do so. The camera angle as well makes it so at certain spots, there will be a invisible wall type thing that acts just like a block. You can just adjust your camera angle up or move your character there. It's the same deal with Obby Creator so its not easy to fix, especially for a studio related game like this. Another reason for it can be just because since building in global movement without the auto snap to grid thing enabled, the game is built on a grid. When trying to make it "snap" onto a part, it uses an invisible grid that doesn't change to see where you can place it. When putting your mouse in between 2 major points of this grid, there's a chance it can spaz out like that. It's quite a simple fix, just move your mouse and it should fix it. Since you've used Global movement and rotated it, the wall no longer lines up with the stationary grid, which causes misalignments when trying to add parts to that misaligned part. Global movement as stated already, only moves blocks on a 90 degree grid no matter what. The lack of being able to move parts properly if they are rotated will cause the misalignments. You can change this by making the move direction to Local instead of Global since Local movement allows you to move rotated parts on their separate grid, causing little to none, unless you manage to break that which is very difficult to do since its basically just making it like the studio movement without it being the real studio movement ("Last" Movement Option). All of these problems are also in Obby Creator but its more noticeable here because Obby Creator has an auto snap to part feature while you have to click a button in the top right to activate it for Tower Creator. Since Sandbox uses a much bigger grid (as in the parts themselves are 2x2 which makes them have a grid that's 2x2 blocks) its a lot easier to not have any misalignments or awkwardly made parts since it uses a bigger grid. The conveyor direction doesn't really matter. You would only really care about it if you're driving, which I don't think the devs care about to make it more accurate to American driving culture rather then the other parts of the world. Plus some of them are American themselves which reinforces the idea that they didn't really care about how the conveyors have to be the same as the driving culture in America. Calling them foreign devs is just insulting since they do understand what to do and how to fix it, it takes them a while because there's not only a lot of spaghetti code, but drama and the fact that the game needs to be optimized to hell for every update because lag machines is a problem. So making the conveyors the right way is their least concern. Also at 19:26 the "misalignment" you see it actual just a highlight bug. It occurs very randomly and rarely and happen when you just highlight over a part. Its easy to get rid of, just like click on a part, but its also just as easy to ignore it. This game has yet to even have outlines yet so you can rule that out of the equation. And the fact that you didn't notice the outline was the same/similar colour to just selecting a part makes it obvious that it's hard for you to understand these problems, or think them out logically prevents you from learning the tools these types of games provide that really boil studio to its bare bones core really hard for you to understand.
