To get my eclectus box ready i kept thinking, i don’t want to fill it up with saw dust, how bout if I put the slices of wood and chunks to give them the enjoyment of chewing it down themselves, I think i’m getting smarter Tony. Just kidding, but you know he has been trying to mount her but the perch keeps moving so i was thinking, the way i chop up 1 1/2” round dowels, I think they are for closet hangers over at Lowes, I chop them into like 13” tortilla rompers, I give them away and teach all the neighborhood kids how to make home made tortillas, then I thought how bout I get 3 tortillas rollers drill holes and attach like them all into a floor like thibg so the couple can have a steady floor to do their mating, you think that’s a good idea? I have taken to attaching a piece of 1x2 to the entrance of the nest box making them chew into the box before they can use it. I haven’t tried to put chunks of wood in the box. That sounds good.

3 years is enough for a male african grey. You should try to food change, a proper size cage like 120*120*180 or bigger and a proper nest box. But ıf all is well prepared ; sometimes male and female will not bond and breed.
@@fahdmohamed9059 they generally start to breed at 4 years old..that means after 3 years of age they are ready enough to breed..but enviromental and special conditions must be considered
