Here's what pisses me off about bosses in this game the most: It's not the unreasonably tiny parry window, or the 3 frame attack animations. It's that bosses (and some regular enemies) usually have a 1 or 2 animation attack that they can turn into a 3-4 animation attack whenever they feel like it with zero tells or warning. This means that I have to ALWAYS expect them to launch follow up combos to what is normally single animation attacks, which means I have to waste most of my attack windows.
This is just not true, you can always tell that they are going for another attack. You just have to actually think about when they are doing it and when not. It's really just a skill issue

Even 25% would be enough. Tbh the game has conflicting design objectives. Sekiro at least just leaned into the deflecting. Its like the game gives you the option to dodge and strafe but its going to take you 3x as long to stagger the boss if you do it that way. You basically have to parry all of its hits to get that critical hit.
@@CasualplayeroneNot really. This game is very hard, in sekiro the deflecting and parry sytem had a much better game design. Its very hard to guard at the right time. And even if you guard you lose a little bit health. I have to finish This game first in order to say wich game is harder.

It's more of something like the enjoyment of a challenge rather than relaxation. This whole genre of games just isn't designed that way man, its a shame you had a bad experience with it. I can understand what you mean
I've noticed a common trend with all this game's bosses so far. The players coming from soulsbornering seem to find this game challenging, while the players coming from sekiro are having a blast (well kinda, the parry window is a bit small though). You can either run and cheese all bosses, or learn to parry and smack them back in their smug faces. Your call, captain. (Bonus points if you break their weapons in the process)
I come from Sekiro and I'm so not having a blast. His hitbox Is so weird you are forced tò memorize It because reflexes istinct and all the experience in the world won't take u anywhere. He can hit you with his hip , there s no rythm, no Logic in his attacs. Never happened any of this with Sekiro. This boss Is not difficult, It Is Just broken .. Just like It s bugged or something
$70… Wasted. This boss is beyond me. …. Edit… The next day after grinding out Ergo and leveling up… I beat it! Suggestion to level up prior to taking him on.
This is felt. I only just beat scrapped watchmen and I’m already exhausted from this game. Props to those who can play these games and keep their sanity.
Took me 3 tries. He has a LOT of moments where you can heavy attack and just move back. If you're aggressive he doesn't spam the fireballs, and you can use the red tubes as cover. It's easy. Use the Axe you get in that level.
I noticed in this fight my health cells do not recharge from attacking. The same here, and the icon has a red aura around it, does anybody know what that means, and why at some specific times we can't regen health? I've also noticed at times the weapon grinder also has that red glow on the icon, which I guess means it's limited in some way also, I just can't figure out why this happens.
Pretty sure he bought quarts from the receptionist at the hotel and used it to upgrade. I haven't found another quarts playing through even in this stage.
Team Ninja can. Wo Long balance is amazing (except for first boss, of course). Nioh 1 was pretty good with that too. Just not Nioh 2, that one was way too sadistic. Code Vein would be very well balanced if it wasn't for your partners randomly dying early for no reason...

For those who are strugglin in this boss: If you have a summon use it and just rush in the boss staggering attacks, what matters is to block and parry the heavy attacks, keep on attack him until he falls you often will have time to use pots. just get away when he spreads fire, In the second form of him, dont give him space just rush on and keep atacking until he falls for real. The longer the fight, more disadvantage you are in I made that way in the 5th time and i'm not a soulslike gamer.

I got it from completing a riddle from one of the stalkers, it's a phone to the right before you met Geppetto. You get a trinity key when you get the answer correct and there's a room somewhere that lets you unlock with it.
I don’t even think this boss is particularly hard it’s just that the perfect block window is so goddamn small and the delay on it also. The fact that this is the third area and he hits like a final boss is also very annoying
also, the boss is just to big. I just can't see his arm and can't predict where and when he is going to attack. relying only on memmory muscle is bad. also, wake up is so slow, no cancel button, I can't go from attack to block instantly(like in sekiro)
It's more of a dodge boss than a parry/block one. I tried to parry it for many attempts, as soon as a switched to dodging I finished him quickly. At least that's what helped me, I'm sure if someone is good at parrying then they could use that.
You got so lucky he didn't fart flames all the time... He kept spitting oil at me and doing the armored core meta which was just shoot his stupid gun. The fight was 15 minutes long and very dull

You can jump back away from his spin attacks. You can parry his basic hammer strikes pretty easily too just practice the timing. DONT use the spectre, he just gets in the way and fucks with the timing. His heavy charge can be easily dodged if you run left or right. His TOP down heavy is SUPER hard. You have a split second after he steps into the strike to block. Just pray he doesn’t throw it often. I literally only beat him because he didn’t throw that move a single time the whole fight.
yes also when he does like a load punch from the air you can do a charge attack after the parry because he always throws some trash punch with bad hitbox right after

If they made the perfect block window 50% bigger this game would be 10000 times better because rn the block is rng bs
@@austin0_bandit05 yeah
Play sekiro then get back to me this game is a cake walk compare to that
@@CasualplayeroneNot really. This game is very hard, in sekiro the deflecting and parry sytem had a much better game design. Its very hard to guard at the right time. And even if you guard you lose a little bit health. I have to finish This game first in order to say wich game is harder.
@@CasualplayeroneI played and completed sekiro first and then i play lies of p, and tbh deflect in lies of p it's not so good. Don't get me wrong, i don't say that lies of p is harder than sekiro, its just the deflect system it's not like sekiro, when i fought this boss what i was doing is just dodging and barely deflect his attacks (sorry for my bad english)
I have trouble getting them into the stagger state. You have to do a charged heavy attack when the outline around their lifebar is white, correct?
yes
Everybody just take a deep breath. Getting him to phase 2 is very simple. Once you get him ti phase 2 just wait for his charged running attack and hit him 1 or 2 times before backing away and doing it again. It was take 10-20 mins but is worth your sanity. I don’t think he hit me once after following this passive aggressive strategy
Yeah, but the missiles are hard to avoid
@@kieranczyzniejewski2178 Just keep dodging them from a distance
@@kieranczyzniejewski2178just run
Patience and keep distance. Attack when he's open after a heavy attack.
This boss is supposed to drop a special ergo, but I didn't get it. This is the second time that a boss hasn't given me the "reward" after the fight. A solution please ?
Rare ergo?
@@musashi66973 Yes, a "king's flame ergo". It's used to get a cool sword, but I think I spent it by accident :')
So the rare ergos you don't use to get more? Oops idk where to go for the weapons then
@Djager_Fr can you explain those ergo drops for me? I just recover them for more ergo to spend on upgrades. I wasn't aware you could turn them in
@@bobbysells9226 During the adventure, I met a merchant called Alidoro, who sells special weapons in exchange for special Ergo obtained from defeated bosses
This game is recipe for insanity.
I usually dont play anything beside racing games but this one is only 15 gb for xbox and i had limited storage so i gave it a try and im disappointed.
I play games to relax after work, to have some fun. I dont know how can people enjoy something like this.
It's more of something like the enjoyment of a challenge rather than relaxation. This whole genre of games just isn't designed that way man, its a shame you had a bad experience with it. I can understand what you mean
Dont know how someone can enjoy watching football
If you’re playing soulslike games to relax then you’re unfortunately playing the wrong genre
You couldn't possibly play anything except games for children or for retarded
Then here I am: I'm the one who chose lies of P as the first experience of this genre

Took 3 tries again i am a speedrunner of souls games
i finally got this fattie 😭. i didn't play for a couple of months. and started again a week ago. finally got him 🥰
Took me 3 tries. He has a LOT of moments where you can heavy attack and just move back. If you're aggressive he doesn't spam the fireballs, and you can use the red tubes as cover. It's easy.
Use the Axe you get in that level.
This boss needs to.. pinocchiGO away.
I’ll see myself out.
I'm 11 hours in. Dyeing inside.
this is boss is so challenging if u r playing over keyboard and mouse!
For me it's the opposite, playing with a mouse/keyboard is easier than if I were playing on a controller.
Got him on my 6th try. But it felt like cheating with a Specter and 2 electric throwables, the Fulminis arm and the shock maul but anything to help
Nice parry, man
After a little ego grind and leveling up 7 times I was able to beat him very easily
Where did you do the most of your grind at ?
@@3noom workshop union entrance I would just keeping killing the 2 robots in the room and would reset
@@ymeu. thanks
making it look so easy
I noticed in this fight my health cells do not recharge from attacking. The same here, and the icon has a red aura around it, does anybody know what that means, and why at some specific times we can't regen health? I've also noticed at times the weapon grinder also has that red glow on the icon, which I guess means it's limited in some way also, I just can't figure out why this happens.
Health cells don’t recharge unless they’re out, utleast that’s what happens for me
Only the last one can recharge but if that was not the case for you than i can say it worked for me so maybe you had a bug
You were lucky he didn't use the flamethrower. Still don't know how to avoid that attack.
When you are right in front of him it doesn't hit
Didn’t know you could LoS the burn lol. Ran out of purification pots and none of the vendors have em lol
The parry window on this game is way too fu***ng tight. Sometimes it feels like it doesn’t block at all. F*** this game
Rah i feel bad killing these guys they are literally just trying to help
This monster gave me headaches. I lost countless times. I had to level up to have a better chance.
Cleared this boss on first try. Never been so happy😭😭😭
So I used the puppet string so I could deal a little damage without being super close
How you have 5 pulse cell's in this fight?! I had only 4 I've seen some others videos they have 4 as well!!🧐🧐
Upgrade P-Organ for extra cell
@DemBlades69 ok but I need to reach new phases for that right?
@@Romanmentorano just do it twice

Lies of p is another evidence that only fromsoft can make well balanced souls games
Team Ninja can. Wo Long balance is amazing (except for first boss, of course). Nioh 1 was pretty good with that too. Just not Nioh 2, that one was way too sadistic.
Code Vein would be very well balanced if it wasn't for your partners randomly dying early for no reason...
@@MatNaito I have to admit, that I just played code vein of that titles (didn't liked it) but I finished lies of p yesterday and now I like it a lot. I've heard that nioh 2 is very sadistic and a friend told me that wo long is pretty good so maybe I will try it.
That’s not entirely true because some of the bosses in Elden ring felt unbalanced too
Cap
this video makes him look weak and slow... 🤣🤣 while im here dodging and weaving like crazy
This boss is infuriating, i'd rather Lu Bu
I was having a hell of a time until i summoned a specter and got him on my first try.
For those who are strugglin in this boss:
If you have a summon use it and just rush in the boss staggering attacks, what matters is to block and parry the heavy attacks, keep on attack him until he falls you often will have time to use pots. just get away when he spreads fire, In the second form of him, dont give him space just rush on and keep atacking until he falls for real. The longer the fight, more disadvantage you are in
I made that way in the 5th time and i'm not a soulslike gamer.
Where did he get that coat ?
There is a guy in the basement right on the left when you connect the large pipes, start from the checkpoint. Sorry my English is bad but hope it helps
@@psycholudens546 Maybe the game changed, but that guy gave a different cosmetic.
I got it from completing a riddle from one of the stalkers, it's a phone to the right before you met Geppetto. You get a trinity key when you get the answer correct and there's a room somewhere that lets you unlock with it.
So your boss didn’t use flamethrower of fire AOE once…
All u gotta do is run right up to him when he does flamethrower
I don’t even think this boss is particularly hard it’s just that the perfect block window is so goddamn small and the delay on it also. The fact that this is the third area and he hits like a final boss is also very annoying
its just not a very well made. Sad, because the demo had potential.
also, the boss is just to big.
I just can't see his arm and can't predict where and when he is going to attack.
relying only on memmory muscle is bad.
also,
wake up is so slow,
no cancel button, I can't go from attack to block instantly(like in sekiro)
Skill issue
It's more of a dodge boss than a parry/block one. I tried to parry it for many attempts, as soon as a switched to dodging I finished him quickly. At least that's what helped me, I'm sure if someone is good at parrying then they could use that.
@@bucket3073not a skill issue I been on him for 5 days. And watched 10 vids and can’t beat him . This boss might be the end for me
Dude what level are you here?
He blocks Everything .. my guy can't block crap.......
as a player with the speedy build...just how
Where do I find him in the factory
You got so lucky he didn't fart flames all the time... He kept spitting oil at me and doing the armored core meta which was just shoot his stupid gun. The fight was 15 minutes long and very dull
i was so close 🥺
then i frantically tried to find a pipe to rush behind while he was doing the thing he does when he gets to half hp. and he got me and i already had very little health with overheat then i died 😔. my least fave attack bc it panic trying to get away.
Basically parry or die… man, that sucks.
Christ the amount of pain i had with this one....axe seems good as its doing more damage however you cannot backout in time without taking damage....glaive is amazing but kinda heavy.
If you get greedy with this one you will pay for it ..
Easily my least favorite souls like boss i have ever encountere. Giant health pool insane status effect damage that you need to use items for( you an get away from the aoe but sometimes he does it when youre already attacking and you wont have time) and will spam unblockable undosgeable attacks constantly in second part
You can hide behind a pillar to dodge overheat
'insane status effect damage'... The blood-starved beast is having a full laugh
@m3g4sh0ts at least that one was trivialized by dodging to the right
This boss is very annoying and he's upset me many times I don't know what I'm doing wrong I'm out of star fragments and he always spams the same attack even when I dodge he's really pissing me off
You can jump back away from his spin attacks.
So the key is to block and parry not to flee.😂
yes also when he does like a load punch from the air you can do a charge attack after the parry because he always throws some trash punch with bad hitbox right after
How could you do it?!
Yea i cannot beat this ive had him to literally 3 hp twice and he sets the ground on fire and kills me
Maybe I should consider the summon!! Naw, f that. Gonna tackle him solo
Powerpyx done this boss like it was a training dummy…. Like there was no sweat at all 😮💨

Easy boss for me, I just learned how to block perfectly with the very first boss, now every other one so far seems like a copy.
It's like 1 hour that I'm fighting this mf
I think this boss is much easier compared to Watchman. I mean proportionally.

What a crazy difficulty spike. I'm not sure I like it, they could have ramped the difficulty up on a gradual slope instead of stone walling us. At least there is the summon.

Super
I’ve literally died like 50 times!!! Dude is way Op to be 3rd boss. Better boss fights in Elden Ring. I beat Melina under the times I fought this dude! Way unbalanced!!
This guy made me quit. Nope. I’ve beaten tons of souls and soulslike games, and this is just an unfair boss fight. I’ve tried everything. This is where I put it down, thanks for putting it on gamepass at least
I like how they used the public domain alert noise that's also on every iPhone
Deeply disappoints me to see people blame this boss and the game because they can't learn to fight him properly. I thought this fight was fantastic, there wasn't a single part about him that felt unfair or stupidly RNG to me.
