"Having lost one round earlier, Geese grinds his fist into the ground in shame and frustration as his half-brother Krauser gets demolished by a drunken hermit. Meanwhile, a cloud of melancholy casts itself over Iori as he stares off into the sunset, enjoying the last few moments of his dignity before he meets a fate similar to that which befell his unfortunate teammates."
For those who didn't play KOF 96, Chin's "lie down and roll backwards" thing really was that good. The single most powerful move in the game, more powerful than Leona's multi-hit cheese ball, more powerful than Iori's fwd,dwn,dwf-fwd+A. KOF 96 was a broken, unfinished, stupid game, and anyone who tells you otherwise doesn't know what he's talking about.
Simple mah boi. Whenever moments like these happen, it's very common for to hear from players (especially the ones facing it) "that's gay" or variants of that. Therefore "a history of gay inventors" is very fitting.
@guilhermewolfman 96 or 97. The music, however, is Requiem: Dies Irae by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The AST of Krauser's Theme even uses a genuine recording.
HAHA!! I was watching this thinking this is so lame, then when the guy on the right had 2 hits left you see him start to panic and try anything to get out, but no... It was over before it even started...
@xjxm Well Melee and Smash 64 do give interesting matches depending on the character (those 2 do have their own forms of combos. Especially 64). Though yeah. Games that are really easy to pick up and play as long as they have some other gimmick (like Smash's oodles of Nintendo characters) are guaranteed profit and a competitive scene of some sort.
actually if you look at Iori and Geese it looks more like this...: I am sooo, so sorry Iori, I had no idea my stupid half brother has problems against Random.
Its so cool that they bought this for AKI in SF6. Homogenius forever.
combine Jamie's drunken fist with A.K.I.'s poison fist and you get the level of toxicity shown here.
That kind of shit is what starts actual fights in real life.
LMAO! You right about that!
All I could think was, if someone ever did that to me irl, I would punch them.
It's KoF so fights in real lifes would be had anyway
Coming back to this over a decade later, high level footsies to Dies Irae continues to be as exciting as always.
the boat in the foreground mixups too.
I have to not crack up while listening to Lacrymosa because of this
"Having lost one round earlier, Geese grinds his fist into the ground in shame and frustration as his half-brother Krauser gets demolished by a drunken hermit. he has a grounded fireball that ruins this tactic
@@BlackMetalVayu So did Geese.
@@oddluck4180 But not in this game. Reppuken doesn't act like the SNK trademark ground fireball in 96.
Sounds like a Soul Calibur intro
It was at that point Krauser realized he should have learned Reppuuken
Damn straight!
I dunno, Geese also lost to this silliness.
i don't know what you're talking about, this is '96
" I can't watch this shit.."
- Iori Yagami
This music is so perfect.
WolfSyn whats the song?
Its Dies Irae , Wolfgang Krausers theme
I love Iori occasionally looking around to see what's going on
"Jesus, are they at it again...Christ" *facepalm*
seems to happen whenever a teammate scores a hit
honestly, the background music makes this. it's like you're witnessing high art
YEARS LATER AND IT HAS RETURNED IN SF6
it took my a whole decade to learn that Dandy J is a fighting game character name
this is the best anime battle of all time
Let this be a lesson to you all; when Chin is counting ceiling tiles he is NOT to be disturbed.
I've never seen such a rapid display of adaptation in a fighting game outside of these 60 seconds. quality gameplay, keep it up!
For those who didn't play KOF 96, Chin's "lie down and roll backwards" thing really was that good. The single most powerful move in the game, more powerful than Leona's multi-hit cheese ball, more powerful than Iori's fwd,dwn,dwf-fwd+A.

HAYABZUN, WEOOO
HAYABZUN, WEOOO
HAYABZUN, WEOOO
HAYABZUN, WEOOO
Mayweather vs Pacquiao
Imagine fighting someone like this in real life.
%100 strategy
Experience
The timing
Absolute legend
Guess he won't be chiseling gravestones after this fight...
Simple mah boi.
Whenever moments like these happen, it's very common for to hear from players (especially the ones facing it) "that's gay" or variants of that. Therefore "a history of gay inventors" is very fitting.
Actually an accurate artistic rendition of Talbain vs. Morrigan.
We are so back
Dandy J leaked A.K.I. 14 years early
Footsies!!!
Him saying "I like to shuffle." Could not have any better meaning here.
High-level A.K.I. gameplay
This why you don't mess with drunk people on wake up
That is some Tokido bullshit.
High level japanese tournament mindgames.
THE MUSIC IS SO INTENSE
The gayest of the series.
Clearly there are some former SNK devs or at least fans at Capcom. Can't wait for A.K.I.
Pff... just jump it.
0:46
...Dear god!
Abandon all hope
the fact that he got AA'd is so fucking funny
is this Divekick
No, this is Patrick.
This might be my favorite gay invention of all time
This is Antonio Inoki vs. Muhammad Ali.
This really puts the "Dies" in "Dies Irae"
This is as hilarious as when i first saw Vega in SFII climb the wall and dive at me. SO FREAKIN RANDOM
The worst part is the camera crew shows up at 0:48 to film Krauser geting trolled to death, WELCOME TO RUclips KRAUSER!
I've never even played 96 but Chin is now my main in all games at all times.
Man, I decided to watch this again after playing a bit of KoF. Still hilarious.
@guilhermewolfman 96 or 97. The music, however, is Requiem: Dies Irae by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The AST of Krauser's Theme even uses a genuine recording.
Man if only the CPU could be cheesed as easily
happy 15 glorious years
This is like those "I'm pretending to be a slug" copypastas on youtube.
Both Iori and Geese couldn't take so much awesomeness and are forced to look away
At the end when he just waddles around is amazing.
Blitzball....no wonder Krauser lost.
Iori just all chill. Doesn't need to see Krauser get schooled.
those top tier characters can't match THE UNHOLY DRUNKEN CRAWLING OF DOOM
Footsies game too strong
Krauser wishes he had his 98 UM kaiser wave.
man,,, this happened a lot when kof '96 came out. Everyone always used chin and clark in this game. Pain in the ass.
only classical music can emphasize this epic amount of skill.
@guilhermewolfman I was never any good at KoF, but I admire SNK for the details on their sprites and stages.
RIMJOBBU
YOOO
Serves Krauser right. You can't go roaming there without shirts pal!
Music makes it as epic as it should be.
Is this what FGC people mean when they talk about "footsies"?
Greatest game of footsies I've ever seen :')
Iori was like.
"Huh.. Krouser my team mate?fuck no.. i don't know him, who the hell is that krouser? sounds like a noob"
Mozart playing in the background while Chin humps the ground makes this even more funny.
"whatup, son... YO!"
If you think about, he did beat geese, who had a ground projectile to stop that, and wolfgang was spaming first.
I get the feeling that I find this way more amusing than I should. :D
A.K.I.
I love this community so much
KoF 12 had better live up to the expectations set by this game.
HAHA!! I was watching this thinking this is so lame, then when the guy on the right had 2 hits left you see him start to panic and try anything to get out, but no... It was over before it even started...
that drunk mofo can beat you up just spazzing on the ground.
I saw a real fight like this one time it was awesome
True footsies
The music is strangely fitting.
this is some high level japanese play. some fine mindgames at work here, my friends
looks like geese got in the same situation too
Sounds like he says "Gimme some!" after a while.
@KingLofiOne thanks
and i believe the stage itself is great, dont you think?
Epic mind games ftw, but seriously, that would probably piss me off so much.
i like how at 0:49 its like hes strumming a viloin with his whole body
esta es una de las mejores tecnicas del kof que siempre utilizaba jajajajajaj grande chin gentzai
Dies Irae is 100% appropriate here
Oh God, somebody call an ambulance! That old man is having a seizure!
@xjxm
Well Melee and Smash 64 do give interesting matches depending on the character (those 2 do have their own forms of combos. Especially 64).
Though yeah. Games that are really easy to pick up and play as long as they have some other gimmick (like Smash's oodles of Nintendo characters) are guaranteed profit and a competitive scene of some sort.
This is the best thing I've ever seen in my life.
Damn footzies, literally.
Still the greatest video
Glad I got a seizure at the end there
0:04 BLITZBALL!! BLITZBALL!!
actually if you look at Iori and Geese it looks more like this...:
I am sooo, so sorry Iori, I had no idea my stupid half brother has problems against Random.
That was some of the most ignorant shit I have seen in my life. I love it. Subbed.
LEVEL 5 YOMI GOING ON IN THIS MATCH
rofl the music makes this ridiculously epic
He has an antfarm helping him do that.
Looking back on this I swear to all Mighty God ill choke someone if they ever did this too me....just playing LMAO
This proves Chin is god tier.
Now this is footsies
this whole fucking match i was laughing. wow. great upload.
music completely appropriate
this one is a classic
