Small bogey system.. track system wasnt made for that speed or sand.. mattracks might hold up a little better.. but they're not built for that terrain
Mechanical items have limits, Westin has no limits.

In the Morrocan town of Zagora (Where the real Sahara is) there is a very able mechanic, known as "Fat Mohamed". His method for working on broken cars in the dunes does not include using jacks. He just digs the sand away from under the car until he has enough space to work. He did a clutch change on a Suzuki 4x4 that way, then just drove it out of the dunes. He serviced our cars after we had driven about 250 kms accross the desert. He's quite a character.

Westen you are even crazier than my cousin! Back about 45 years ago we were driving in a 2 wheel drive old Chev pickup on an old logging road in the middle of the night drinking beers when we came upon the biggest mudhole I had ever seen! I told him don't try to cross the mudhole we'll just get stuck! Well you know what happened we took a huge run at the mudhole & got about half way across & then became very stuck! We worked for hours during the night & had to walk out for miles to get some help! In the end we did get it out but man what a job! It sobered us up for sure! Anyhow Westen your trip to the desert was epic! Well done on breaking everything! I am looking forward to the next video because nobody breaks them like you do!

There has to be something wrong with the track assembly this is the second time it has come off
The first time was because they didn't tighten them enough. I think this time is because they are rubbing on the running board when the suspension is flexing. Not sure how you would go about fixing that.

I'm surprised the tracks have held up at all considering how they are abusing them. If one was to drive reasonably I bet they are extremely reliable.

I got an idea. Overhaul it (Keep the bed the same. just get a new cab and hood and paint it black or keep it camo.) and put a new engine inside of it.
It leaks oil faster than you can run out of fuel if there was a nail sized hole in your tank, The cab is filled with holes, the seats dont look comfy and I bet they arent.
My ideas for an overhaul are: Make a new or buy a new cab, Add a new coat of paint, Add a new engine and see if the oil leak stuff still happens with the new engine. Add air bags so that your ride is softer, Make a new suspension, Give it a BIG fan so that it can be cooled. Theres alot more I can think about and list here but imma stop there.
I hope that army truck is gonna get fixed sometime soon. Gday!

Me with 15 yrs as a Bradley mechanic in the Army and a recovery operator. See's thumbnail and already knows what happened lol. Bro lmao tracks are great. But you gotta understand loose material can easily throw your tracks off. But still a cool video man. Just be glad you only had to put the rubber tracks back on a truck. Doing it with just me and 1 other person on a 56 ton M88a1 was never fun as I always had to work the tankers bar and guide the track over the support rollers until the sprockets took over. You boys got it easy lol.

Probably either not tight enough or one of the stay lugs has broken off.
when it is driving uphill it sounds like it is jumping a sprocket so it is either worn or slack.
