LordDesAbsterdens it’s not thrown away, it’s given back to the person who gifted them with it. Unless they hold on to the gift or it’s something edible, they have to gift it back but sometimes it’s signed. Once they leave, they are laid out and the guest come and pick up their gifts which they gave to itzy
Somi would have most likely been the center of ITZY had she stayed with JYP. In all honesty, while I’m happy for Somi to have debuted, I think she would have been better off as the leader and center of a girl group, especially if it had been ITZY. If it were up to me, I would have added Somi as the center and added an additional girl, perhaps former JYP trainee Natty to the group, making it a 7 member group. I love ITZY, don’t get me wrong, but common adding in SomiNatty would have made for the ultimate girl group.
Somi was actually going to be in Itzy and for sure going to be its leader, and was seen with the girls pre-debut, until.... "musical differences", or "don't want to be in a girl group anymore", and she or probably her dad, somehow got JYP to mutually cancel their contract, and then some weeks later, announced they have signed for the Black Label. I'm not bitter, and I think perhaps Somi currently maybe even better. She really had a hard time from Sixteen, to Produce 101, to IOI, and all she wanted during those years was to belong to a permanent girl group. So maybe it wasn't meant to be.
