Rainbow lorikeets are so adorable. They always make me smile😊 They have equally cute personalities to match their good looks! 😊❤ it is very easy to fall in love with these cuties😊
It is so so cold this morning. I'm in the UK, watched American football footage and now in Australia to birbs. A bit of an international day. I'm stuck on the birbs. Thanks for the vid. You're so lucky to see all this! That 'too is enjoying the heck out of that pine cone.
Loved the tumble dives that noisy Miner was doing into the water. Looks like that lovely neat pigeon wouldn't mind a dip in the water, but the that pair of lorikeets are committing all kinds of enormities in it, so best not.
noisy miners are the smallest of the visitors, but they like to choose the deepest baths to cannonball into it. Wonderful to discover that they all have their unique bathing habits. Pigeons are the most relaxing bathers, like aromatherapy kinda bathing. :)
Love the lorikeets. Reminds me back in early 2000s when I was a kid and they used to come to our roof and we fed them bread we didn’t finish... Peaceful times
They are so full of character. So many visit here that I wish I could tell them apart like some pigeons, so that I can learn more of their individual qualities. :)
Fantastic video. I need to do some of this at my parents property at some stage. They have Crimson and Eastern Rosellas, Galahs, Kookaburras, Magpies and Sulphur-crested Cockatoos
Thank you! I am in the middle of reworking my channel to provide more uploads of videos for bird lovers, including another 1-hour one. I also have my first Bird TV here: ruclips.net/video/qi-XeswD-u0/видео.html. Have a nice day. 😊
my wife and i lived in mosman nsw in Sydney flat 3 10 Orlando ave. loved feeding the birds from the back porch too....i sometimes play your video just to hear the back ground sounds your birds are making...good on ya mate!!!
I completely understand you. One day I may eventually be forced to move away and will have to rely on mp3's of these birds as nostalgic soundtrack of the past. Cheers!
Those square ones are for quick drinks for birds who don't want to fly to the bigger round bird baths. Lories generally prefer to squeeze their bodies into the smaller ones, even when there is only 1/2-inch water. For a while, I had 2 round bird baths and 2 smaller square tubs leaning against the ledges and that is what I observed.
baby magpies the joy of spring time , the parents always show baby's the real world before their introduced to us humans in Tasmania , I've been caring for magpies for over 20 years ! helping replant seedlings is rather annoying but life goes on 🤣
@Sean Bayley Being territorial, it's the same one family that visits, and I have been able to follow them over the years. Yes, they are very intelligent, and amazing parents. :)
It took me a long while for the birds to find my bath. Then they became regulars, and more and more birds found out. I think native plants will bring in the native birds. Especially on hot days, leaving a bowl of water out for wildlife (with stick in it so anything that falls in can climb out) would help. I no longer feed birds. Good luck! www.wires.org.au/wildlife-info/wildlife-factsheets/let-nature-feed-itself
@@BirdsNThings Feeding a little is okay and even beneficial. The practice is widespread in the UK and even encouraged by the government there. It's only Australia that frowns upon it.
Beautiful video. It would be very helpful if you could insert the birds’ names as they appear for those of us who don’t have time to do further research.
I included an extensive timecode list in the description. Feel free to give me a quick description if it is not included, and I'll get back to you. Thanks. Cheers :)
What a beautiful video to have full screen on your TV while doing the housework; sound turned up. Makes the housework so much more tranquil haha
What a great idea. I should try that myself. :) Have you seen my other video? ruclips.net/video/qi-XeswD-u0/видео.html

Ah the sounds of australia, all that is missing is a tradie using a jackhammer.
There is construction going on right by my building! Poor magpies are not happy because their foraging area has been taken away.

Any tips on how to attract Aussie birds? I've put out a coupla of feeders but the birds won't come.

@@firstnamelastname4778 I agree. I try not to encourage tame behavior from my bath visitors, even if it means less views on RUclips. Cheers!
