    You mentioned on one of your videos that you were going to plan to do the 5-day mimicking fast together. Do you have any of those coming up soon? I really really like your videos. You seem to have a beautiful personality.

      On my good days, yes 😅Thank you, that's very kind! We're in a group fast right now and the next one will be Oct 21-25. The best way to make sure you're notified is to sign up to receive emails which you can do on plant52.com 💜

    I have put all the ingredients of the recipes for the full menu DIY 5 days reset that you have share in your channel in the Cronometer app and it does not fit the total calories and neither the 3 macronutrients, why it’s that? Any tip that could help? Thanks!

      @plant52_  5 месяцев назад +2

      Great question! Cronometer's figures for specific ingredients have changed slightly since I posted these ingredients. What I had posted is right on point for protein, 5 grams under in fat, and 6 grams under in carbohydrate with total calories of 955 instead of 1090 or 1100 (this is for Day 1). Following this will still get you into ketosis but if you want to get closer to the recommendations, you'll aim for the official 10% protein, 56% fat, and 34% carbs for day 1. A much easier way to calculate this using cronometer is aiming for 27 grams protein, 68 grams fat, and 93 grams carbs (day 1) then 16 grams protein, 35 grams fat, and 85 grams carbs (days 2-5). Just play around with the food in cronometer to get closer to these exact figures if that's what you're going for - it starts to teach you a lot about food too but the main point is to keep it high fat, moderate carbs, and very low protein (and sugars...which is why we have very little fruit on our menu...otherwise it would be a lot easier to get to these numbers) Good luck!

      @@plant52_great videos!! where can I find this full menu that you’ve shared exactly? Also, will you be doing a group reset this fall again? How can I join in? Currently R1D5 of prolon and do not care for the food! Thinking about buying the prolon (love the convince) but substituting a soup or something (some dyi have too much prep for me!).

    Another question: I did get into slight ketosis overnight but the Prolon specific foods take me off the ketosis (R1D5 today). Thinking of skipping one of my soups today (not sure I will, since day 5 is pretty low in food volume). Wondering if you have an opinion about that…

      @plant52_  3 месяца назад +1

      I would eat everything in your Prolon box for your final day. If you’re measuring that you’re out of ketosis, I’d check your ketone meter (they have to be reset every once in a while apparently) but regardless like you said, it’s limited calories and they (Longo and Prolon team) recommend we consume all of our food from ProLon’s fast. The most important part will be tomorrow when you break your fast - no dairy, no meat, eat veg, fruit, salads, more soups if you can stomach it. Congrats on wrapping up your first round! 🙌

    What do you think about water kefir during FMD?

    • @plant52_
      @plant52_  5 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not familiar with water kefir but I see it's made with sugar and water kefir grains - we want to stay very low in sugar during this fast so I wouldn't recommend it. If you're looking to maintain good gut health and that's why you're considering kefir, eating whole plants (on our menu at least) offers 30 grams of fiber for day 1. (The American Heart Association for example recommends we get 25-30 grams of fiber a day.) Thanks for the interesting question!

    Too much mimicking under the cover of science

    • @plant52_
      @plant52_  3 месяца назад

      I actually don’t think the body mimics anything and in this case just goes into a fasting state. May differ from a true water only fast but there are still mad benefits!
      Of course I’m not a scientist so this is just my opinion 🙂
