Speakers At The Sixteenth Annual Ultrasound Conference

Speakers at JAHJAH Foundation’s 16th annual two-day Ultrasound Conference, Kingston, Jamaica. Sponsored by the American Friends Of Jamaica (AFJ), which first partnered with JAHJAH Foundation last year. Through this partnership, the Jamaica Handheld Ultrasound Project (JHUP) was created. Under JHUP, AFJ donated and will continue to donate Butterfly IQ probes (state of the art ultrasound devices) and corresponding iPads. The Butterfly IQ probes and iPads work together to provide quick high-quality ultrasound imaging.The JAHJAH Foundation, in partnership with Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx, NY, has been providing and will continue to provide ongoing training to the doctors who have been using the devices in the past and who will be using the devices in the future. Currently, JHUP is focused on ultrasound use in Emergency Medicine and Maternal Health. To date, AFJ has donated 36 Butterfly IQ probes with corresponding iPads to public hospitals across Jamaica.
