Juteak was a world famous opera singer. That's why Doohoon was a bit surprised when Juteak chose him as a partner. And Juteak had known Woorim for years, so Woorim felt sorry to him after the duet competition.
So glad you are looking more deeply in to Forestella. I often recommend watching this but very few reactors do live reactions to Forestory so it’s hard to know if they’ve bothered. The series is very good for learning how they came to be and I hope, like me, it gives you a greater understanding and appreciation of what has been given to us.
From what I could understand, the person who got eliminated could be picked by another team. That’s how Woorim got “rescued” twice, thanks to Mingyu who believed in him, and ended up being on the winning team. Forestella would not be the same without his absolutely unique and beautiful base!
To answer your question about how contestants can come back, if they lose the duet mission they become candidates for elimination. After all the duet battles are finished, the judges analyze all the contestants that lost and then choose some of them to be eliminated. The ones who weren't chosen for elimination get to continue the competition. In this episode, even though Doohoon and his partner Jutaek lost, the judges didn't choose them to be eliminated so they are still in the competition.

It feels like we're sharing something beyond amazement at their music - their music is great, of course, but it seems to me that Forestella are also just amazing people. ❤ The Forestory was the first background information I discovered about them and I couldn't get enough. 😅 What impressed me the most in this part is Mingyu's determination and his strategic mind as well as Woorim's willingness and ability to learn. He seems to absorb new things like a sponge. The relationship growing between the two from the very beginning is heartwarming.
