hey! is there any to inject power into these leds lights? I split a 5 m strip into 50 cm segments (solder points are at each 50 cm mark). However with all the wires and extensions it seems the second half of the system is not receiving enough power.
Hi. I'm struggling with the cutting and extending part of these particular lights. Govee says ABSOLUTELY DO NOT cut these lights as they'll stop working. I need to make several extensions and 90 degree turns for my application. I know your video shows that you can in fact cut and extend these Govee RGBIC lights but are there any consequences to this? some people say that you lose some of the functionality from the app and other video posters show the strips failing after cutting. I'm so confused. I just need to know for SURE that if I cut and connect as shown in your video, the RGBIC lights will function as intended with no issues. The model of outdoor RGBIC strip I'm considering is the Govee H6172. Thanks so much for your help!
Use my link to the products that I'm demonstrating in the video that are the H619A. Also make sure to use the connectors that I'm using and this process definitely works with no issues as long as you use the light strips and connectors and cable that I'm using. All products are in the description. If the light strips that you have don't have the copper connection points then I would strongly advise not to cut them. NOTE this Video demonstrates how to use one complete light strip and extend in-between. NOT adding adding another strip on the end of another strip, this is where you might run into problems as the power adapter that come with the lights is weighted to power only a certain length of lights. Hope this helps 👍🏾

I tested it with a short piece all was perfect then with a 4.5 m 4 strand cable it is only light the first 1-2meters of a 10m run with some red blue green clusters further on flashing in sequence. Not sure if it’s the cable or the joiners or the length and I have them mounted already 🙈
