    That head is a really interesting design. Although, for panning, you still need to get the base dead level, which means adjusting the legs by micrometres.
    The best solution I’ve found (outside of my price range!) is a $650 Artcise tripod.

    Try out the Gitzo 0545T. It 's been my mainstay for international travel. Very sturdy with good damping.

    Came across this video and commenting to share the one I just picked. The Fotopro X-Aircross 3 Lite. Lighter than this Benro with twist locks and available with video or photo head.
