I must say - as a former TV producer myself in Denmark - this live production was amazing. I am very impressed. Everything went well - and was VERY professionel. You had recorded features and live - even if the weather was against you You have really good people behind you.. THANKS for giving this :-) Hugs to you and your team.
Really enjoyed this, being a live show I was expecting lots of bloopers and wobbly camera moments but it was completely the opposite. Very professional, and well done for persevering despite the good old British weather!
Missed the live, was working at the flying club. Just watched now and got to say Brilliant! So professional, interesting and enjoyable! Looking forward to watching more. Well done Jon! 👍
Great video , I flew a T6 at Warbird Adventures in Kissimmee , Florida a few years ago , superb experience , recommend it especially if you can do it in the UK these days👍✈️
Missed this live, as a production it was brilliant you must have put a huge amount of time into the planning and preparation and from a viewer viewpoint it was worth it. The content was brilliant and set us the viewers up for a great series of videos. In fact I will go far as to say you have topped flight chops, can't wait to watch the flying.
A great video which must have taken some time to produce and prepare but was nicely put together and clearly utilised your day job skills 👍. Enjoying the videos as always.
@@edbrook2018 That sounds like it was a beautiful aeroplane. Shame I only had a chance to fly in it once. I do have photos on my back up storage disks but they are not working I need to find a way to extract the data from them one day. A lot of my old racing photos are also on them
Love it! I’m really enjoying your videos! I hope to one day make videos like this, of my tailwheel instructing and aerobatic flying/training. Do you have any hints or suggestions for software and cameras? How do you record the audio from the intercom? Cheers!
Hi David. Good luck with all your training. It's impossible to answer individual answers on these questions...I'd be here all day. My FAQs on my website, might have some info that you're looking for. www.jonhunt.net/
The production quality of this video was amazing, Jon. You must have spent a long time storyboarding, researcing, preparing interview questions, planning camera angles. Incredible work.
Prop Tips going supersonic.. No Reduction from engine crank to prop shaft.., 1:1 ratio Other aircraft types have a reduction box (planetary gear reduction box) That reduce, down gear the prop in relation to the engine. Some ratios are weird in numbers like the B-17. Another Story
Paul, to just go for a fly, you don't need a tail wheel rating (in fact you don't even need a licence). For a conversion, you do, but it doesn't have to have been done at Earls Colne.
@@NigelWillson Nigel, thanks for your response, did my tailwheel conversion at Clacton. My friend and I will be in touch when the virus situation & weather improves. Many thanks. Paul
I enjoyed your video and looking forward to your next flight in the Harvard. I flew the MK2's and MK4's for 7 years doing Cloud-Seeding, (Hail-Suppression) out of Calgary AB, Canada, 1961-1968. The 7 Harvards were recently retired from the RCAF and were the only aircraft that could handle the extreme turbulence associated with CB's. We had an aux-fuel tank that replaced the back-seat on one of the MK2's. The first flight I got 6hrs20min on that flight. Thank heavens for the relief (pee-tube). After that long flight it had about a cup of oil remaining so they pulled the tank and reinstalled the seat and that particular Harvard was restricted to no more than 4 hour flights. Can't wait for your next video. Keep up the good work.
Very good. Great idea for a show. I have subscribed. I had a ride in the Harvard at Goodwood 10 years ago and the one at Shoreham before that. Lovely aircraft.
Enjoyed every minute of this extended & live show/programma. Very informative ! Indeed a very fine character your instructor, a real gent and with much patience, so he seems to me. Thank you Jon for all the hard work you have put in this episode. Best greetings from Ebaw & when will we see you around Antwerp Airport ? My offer as a guide for a city tour still stands hé ! Keep yourself & loved ones safe & healthy 😉.
Glad you enjoy it Jan. Keep pestering me about Antwerp..I do like the sound of that some day...when we can travel, and we know what type of Brexit we're going to be living through.
I feel sorry for the English ! We try to follow the situation but it’s complicated. , As my late father !1921-2019) used to say/advise me. If you want to keep friends, avoid conversations about politics & other delicate matters. Pestering is a bit strong, but well intended from us and that’s what matters ! All the best & let’s hope things work out well for you all !
I was avid viewer of flying reporter and other aviation channels. I loved reading all about aviation and it's history. But my CPL training dragged on, failed CPL skills test and my ATPL ground exams expired. I have kind of taken sabbatical from aviation. Watched this video after long time and felt nostalgic. But unfortunately it brings the bad memories of failure at the same time. Need to pick up the pieces and start again, probably next summer.
Enjoyable and well produced video as usual. Some ‘live’ videos are a bit flat if you don’t actually watch them live, this wasn’t. There is a Harvard at Compton Abbas where I am based and it does have a fantastic sound. You are certainly giving FlightChops a run for his money, but you have a bit of catching up to do if you want to solo in a Spitfire first!
Hi Jon, sorry I missed the live broadcast. Fascinating and really enjoyable. Massive thanks to all involved, especially with the weather! I am sure I speak for us all, that we appreciate all the effort and time you put in to brill us these great vidoes. Best of luck with the rest of your conversion/difference training! Stu

Thanks Theo. This was the ambition. The stream quality needs some work, that's all.

We are still drying out.

Thank you Don.
Good video,
My friend bought a Harvard in New Caledonia which we had the pleasure of flying. We then dismantled it and shipped it to the UK.

Thanks Lee.
I flew in a Harvard from Shoreham seems a long time again now. It was great fun, some aerobatics and a low level pass and back into the circuit.
The lovely blue one? Going to rak and ruin sitting out on the grass now sadly

What a great production!
Thanks Tom.

Excellent piece on the Harvard Jon
Thank you Marvin for your continued support.
