No they do not have to manage your BOC-3. You can go on utube and it shows you step by step how to do your BOC-3. My first year I let a company do the setup but after to cut cost I started doing it myself. In fla we have to choose other states because our state doesn't have that. So my first year I went with Georgia my 1st and Alabama my 2nd year because it was cheaper. But I will tell anybody it was scary starting the company but I wish I would've did everything from the jump. Because these outside companies get over.

Those safety companies are a rip off just like brokers, dispatcher, factoring companies and load boards. Also don't take cheap loads. I don't take anything under $4/mile.

This was a collaborative effort among all BOC 3 to implement a annual year fee.
Switch companies is what i heard
Anything we try to do the come for us. They will crash that business just to shut us down. Then they wanna turn around and say you’re lazy when you give up just to get them off your damn back. The hate is real out here!!!

They try to scare you to make you feel you'll get shut down or out of compliance. But with the 18 wheelers you have one year to be in compliance before you receive your 1st year inspection. Then if your not you'll be shut down until you comply. After one year you should have everything. I learned so much from this couple when starting my business, the 18 wheeler has more but they are similar in a lot of ways. I have since stopped my business because I'm not taking loads for $2 a mile. I'm trying to figure out if I'll sell my truck and trailer or wait. But they are paid for so no worries just hate she's sitting up but the rates are garbage.
My truck is currently sitting as well and I'm trying to sell it. The rates isn't the only reason why I'm trying to get out it's different things over all. I'm tired of fight with brokers that wants to play games as well as not being able to find a reliable driver.

Might as well write your representative. Probably won't help and could end up making things more expensive in the long run, but you never know.

What happens if you don't pay the annual fee? The BOC 3 is one and done.
If you didn’t pay the annual fee then they report to the FMCSA that your BOX3 is not current because you haven’t paid them the amount they require. It gets a pass by the FMCSA

Exactly ppl do not understand it is so easy to run these companies, if it was hard they wouldn't do it.
