  • As a proud owner of a 2018 Harley Davidson Heritage 114, I have always had a special place in my heart for Harley. However, recently, I've been incredibly impressed by Indian Motorcycles, particularly their Challenger and Pursuit touring bikes. Their quality and performance have made a significant impact on me, and I've been vocal about it.
At Arizona Bike Week, I had the chance to ride the new 2024 Harley Road Glide, and I was pleasantly surprised. This bike represents a perfect comeback from Harley, showing they are serious about competing in the high-performance touring bike market. In this video, I'll share my experience and thoughts on how Harley's latest offering stacks up against Indian's impressive lineup.
This competition between Harley and Indian is fantastic news for us, the consumers. It pushes both brands to innovate and improve, providing us with better bikes and more choices. Join me as I dive into what makes the 2024 Harley Road Glide so remarkable and why this rivalry is a win for all motorcycle enthusiasts.

Another great one, Dan. I bought it because it’s the first time in many many years that I felt like Harley did something different and I just simply love the bike. Hope you and the family are well.

Love my ‘20 Indian Chieftain DH. In 2023 I had planned to add either a Challenger or Pursuit . . . Until the ‘23 HD CVOs were introduced.
When the ‘24 Road Glide was introduced, it changed my equation. I purchased a ‘24 RG mid March. It’s the best HD that I’ve owned.

Great review! Your remarks kinda remind of how people spoke about the Rushmore changes to the tour models. I’m waiting to see what, if any, changes Harley will make to the Road King.

Harley has surprisingly hit the bike right on the mark with all the minor improvements that really add up. Of course they still don’t chrome out the front forks lol

Very SOLID in-depth review. You pointed out some key factors that'll help people in making up their minds if they're in the market.

Still no chrome forks. They black out the forks on the other package, send out this brushed bs on the chrome bikes. Everyone that owns one knows it’s impossible to keep new looking, no matter the upkeep.

Took one out this weekend..and going to pick one up next weekend. Whiskey fire and black. Coming from a 19 sg....it felt so much lighter. I was actually looking at a challenger and figured I should at least look at the roadglide before I go to the other side ...it got me.

Man, I sat on both the new SG and RG, and I want one. It's just not in the cards... yet. I only have 30k on my 2019 SGS. They look like great bikes, and I keep hearing good things about it!

Stock Speakers suck! Seat ok up until 3+ hours then feel it. Wheels love them! Wish they had auto locking saddle bags. Great feel steering. Slight buffeting at high speeds.

I went yesterday just to test ride both the street glide and road glide plus get an idea what my trade was possibly worth. Coming from a 14 street glide then a16 ultra limited I figured the street glide would have me. My head helmet and glasses were getting blown around pretty good on the sg. The Rg was awesome. Hardly any problems with buffeting. Needless to say I walked out the owner of a new RG.

I text one recently definitely it has better features.. improvement..but feature to feature,.. Indian still has the upper hand..in power, suspension, windshield adjustment...but they have definitely closed the gap.. considering one...but I'm enjoying my Transcontinental..which is a whole different animal per se..Ride Safe 😊😊

I didnt forget, I just didn’t do it. It was just a quick demo ride sharing what was top of mind for me in the moment. Wasn’t meant to be a thorough review by no means. I do need to get some more time on one.
