@@robertroelofs7131 As a German native, I agree with you on all points! I felt the same way when I heard Stone by Whiskey Myers for the very first time on the show. I've never been that interested in country before, but since then I've been listening to all kinds of country music up and down. I love this series!
This guy is awesome and criminally underrated. This entire album is excellent. Ive had it on repeat for days. Interesting he's considered country, I consider him more folk or singer/songwriter. There are lots of artists like this who could be considered "country" then I guess. I think he has a very similar sound to Brian Fallon from Gaslight Anthem. If you like this, check out his solo albums. Especially songs like Long Drives and Red Lights.
He's full country in my mind. I don't like too much country myself. This is a good song. Simple, like many country songs used to be. It's not contrived and a just a twang on another pop tune. Pretty good in my mind. I'm checking out Brian Fallon next. Thanks for the suggestion!

As a 33 yo male from Europe, this cowboy/farmer life feels kind of the only meaningful think a man can do in his time. Earning good money at the office for buying stuff that you dont need like expensive cars, just to lose your freedom a bit more with car payments and so on...
I left the province of Ontario to go to Albert. To start new beginning in a new life. The song came on the radio .I can't stop listening to it. Killer tune Zack 🇨🇦
My dad and I are still ranchers/cowboys, grew up with that lifestyle now that my dad is getting older I'm trying to learn more from him and teach my kids. But this song just does a great job at telling a cowboys story. Great work.
Since started watching Yellowstone, there has been nothing but American country singer on my play list…this and “that’s cowboy in me” are most repeated..
This song reminds me of my cousin she got shot in a drive by and my gf cried all the way home cuz she was the sweetest person on earth especially in the fam

might sound cheesy but as german native this series made me appreciate current day hints of what cowboy culture seemed to have been.

“Cowboy culture” still exists, but this show doesn’t necessarily reflect it.

Brian Fallon is a wow!!!! The real thing.
To our Brothers and sisters across the pond we love you God Bless America 🏴🤝🇺🇸
I don't know why but this song gives me a feeling of something but I don't know what
One two three four
One two
[Chorus]
It's a motorcycle drive by, baby, dry your kind eyes
I think it's about time we headed home
Walkin' on such tight rope with my damn high hopes
Country boys don't die alone
[Verse 1]
Readin' poetry under shade tree, that woman she's my baby
I will be in Richmond by tonight
With so much shame inside me, I just wanna hide me
But they wanna hear me sing my songs under lights
[Chorus]
It's a motorcycle drive by, baby, dry your kind eyes
I think it's about time we headed home
Walkin' on such tight rope with my damn high hopes
That country boys don't die alone
[Verse 2]
Everyday's so fleetin' and I've been tryin'
To save it while I can
The look on her face all these hot humid days
And the boys in my damn band
[Chorus]
It's a motorcycle drive by, baby, dry your kind eyes
I think it's about time we headed home
Walkin' such a tight rope with my damn high hopes
Country boys don't die alone
[Outro]
Readin' poetry under shade tree, that woman she's my baby
I will be in Richmond by tonight
With so much shame inside me, I just wanna hide me
They wanna hear me sing my songs under lights die alone
[Outro]
Readin' poetry under shade tree, that woman she's my baby
I will be in Richmond by tonight
With so much shame inside me, I just wanna hide me
They wanna hear me sing my songs under lights
