So, I’m a local to “the cape” and Cocoa Beach. This is an amazing place to live. We are a beachside community who prides ourselves in the way we value and take care of each other. The “underwhelming” comment about my area is a compliment as we strive and fight to keep our little community “underwhelming”. This is part of what we love about where we live. We are not presumptive! We live humbly and with our focus on our community. Keep in mind, this is where we raise our families. Yes, our resident “astronauts” are part of our local scene. We all hang out together. We all rally around each other. And we are blessed to witness the amazement of the launches and know and love those who are a part of that program on a more intimate level. Thank you for making this video! 😊
looks like a place which totally wont be turned sideway by a black priest with a fighting spirit manifestation who slept with 100 year old bi vampire who can stop time to reach heaven.
Well well nice video ,but Lived in Cocoa Beach as a kid from 70's to 80's. Parents worked with the Space Shuttle program. First off lived there 20 years and NEVER heard Cape Canaveral called Cape-Ca-Nave-eral... I grew up with Kelly Slater my family owned Taco City before when it was the Taco House. Yes its a quiet area and slow. Everybody knows each other and there is hardly any crime there so comparing it to Hialeah is comparing apples to oranges. Also by the way as first poster mentioned astronauts living there thats incorrect. They may stay there for times but majority of them live in Houston Texas where they train. Been back to Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral many times. Ended moving to Houston for a bit and have now been living in San Diego California for 30 years. I miss the quietness of CB and Cape Canaveral. Quality of life there is great. Love being in San Diego its the only city in California worth being in. Rest of the state is horrible.
The Port is a great place to hang out. Cruise ships Boats of all sizes. Submarines. Many restaurants. Cheri Down park. Lots of side streets and back roads to wind all the way to the pier and Ron Jon surf shop. All along the beach. Lots of bars too. Great area for electric bikes.
