Hi Mate, nice video. I have fitted this unit to my e60 to upgrade ccc. Quick question when driving using google maps/Spotify when holding menu to go back go stock ccc to change temperature, when going back to andorid auto holding menu it goes back to the homepage of unit not my existing navigation/Spotify. Have to manually go back to andoird auto. Is there setting I need to change?
Hey Fuelledlife, First I want to say great video! This might be the best E60 CarPlay installation video on RUclips. Really good explanation and camera angle! I want to ask you if you know more but the AUX function pair with CarPlay system. From my 30 hr research😅 I know: 1. CIC can be coded out to skip the auxiliary connection to the armrest (I’ve done it) 2. For M-ASK CCC or CCC that does not have AUX function pre-installed from BMW. AUX can be coded in (per your last video) and skip the auxiliary connection process (you’ve done it) My biggest question atm are the CCCs with aux function from factory! Could those cars be coded to skip the auxiliary connection and directly use the harness for sound? Or world that be impossible to do
Hi mate, thanks for the kind words. I think there’s a misconception here. All the 3.5mm connection does is run from the vents at the back and plug into the harness pins. When you plug the andream unit in, it also uses the same pins (piggyback). So it doesn’t matter if you have an aux or not, you just need to make sure the car is coded so the stereo knows to take the audio from this aux line. Does that make sense? Cheers for watching!
Question: I just bought the Andream and my 530d 2003 does not have AUX. I plan to get it coded, is it necessary for me to buy the jack and cable for AUX?
Hi, thanks for watching. No, you wouldn’t need the cable and jack. Only aux coded in so that the computer can pick up the audio from that particular input. The andream system piggybacks the aux from the main harness plug, of which already has the wiring pre-installed.
Hey I'm getting a 535D 2007 lci tumoz it has aux what's the reason for the aux i. Just a bit confused thanks for the video will he using that to instal it myself
Hi mate ! Does the unit come with video output ? I can see 2 yellow output cables on the harness, one I am sure it s for the camera but not sure about the second one . I have screens on the headreast and would be amazing to connect them to the unit. Thanks 🎉
Hi there... Great video thanks. Does this rely on the original ccc unit fully working. My ccc is a bit temperamental at the moment 😂. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the video - doesn't look 'easy' but I'm going to give it a go having seen this! But could I ask a quick Q first - I have the LCI E60 with CCC, and my Aux is in the rear passenger centre console. How does this system connect to the Aux if the jack for it is in the back - would I need to move it up front somehow first? Thanks!
Hi Paul, the system connects through the aux directly through the plug in the dashboard. You won’t notice which one does what but it’s apart of the multi plug. You don’t have todo anything further. Just follow the video. Hope that helps! Good luck and cheers for watching! 👍
Is the unit still running good 3 months later? Only asking as I went for the xtrons unit and right from the go it’s been nothing but problems from Bluetooth not working to being slow to respond
Hello I also bought the same unit from Andream but I had a problem with the original menu. It’s to much zoomed in, is there anything to do about the screen resolution to zoom it out a bit?
Hi, i have a 2003 530i with the M-Ask system. I do have the aux coded in. Now my question is, is it also just plug & play or do i need to change it to a ccc ?
Hi Orlando, I’ve installed the system on both M-ASK and CCC. It is plug and play. If you were to buy one, just pick CCC as your screen connection. They are the same. This is true of all e60’s unless they are fitted with CIC from around 2009.
This video is one of the best ones I’ve seen. Can I ask a question, I don’t have aux on my car (2005 pre lci) wide screen nav. I’ve coded it in so it shows up on the entertainment screen sub menu. Do I also need the aux cable ? Thanks 👍🏾
Hi Moz Media, thank you so much for your kind words. Happy to help. The straight answer to your question is this - if you are using a piggy back android unit as I am in the video, no you don’t. If you want to the aux outside of the unit on a standard set up. Yes you do. See my other video. AUX CABLE INSTALL + CODING BMW 5 SERIES E60/E61 *DIY/HOW TO* hope that helps you. 👍 for the cost however I would install one anyway. It gives you a chance to use external devices with a 3.5mm jacks and you have the unit out anyway. If your aux is greyed out however, you may need to install a cable for it to see a connection there. Thanks for watching!
Hi i fitted the same setup to my E61 I’m using the built in microphone on the radio to do calls via CarPlay and it’s so bad I can’t even use it and have to use loud speaker on my phone instead have you had any issues are you using the mic that’s built in ? Or you using the bmw microphone ? Thanks
Hi Jason, that’s interesting to hear. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, I don’t think any of these are but I will have a look at my settings. I’ve had no complaints from people on the end of the phone personally. Not sure you can swap back to the bmw microphone but will take a look and get back to you. 👍
@@FuelledLife thanks for the reply , yeah mine is bad it echos and the quality is pretty bad it’s unusable , the usual radio itself CarPlay etc is good it’s a shame it’s let down with microphone
You don’t need the aux port as that is only an input to the main block connector. Which is also hijacked by the android unit. You just need it to be coding if you don’t have aux (pre2005). 👍

Hey, i bought a e61 ccc with this already installed but it only plays the radio sound, any tips or solutions on how to fix that?
Can you select AUX at all?
Does the sound quality gets better?
Hi there... Great video thanks. Does this rely on the original ccc unit fully working. My ccc is a bit temperamental at the moment 😂. Thanks in advance.
While it piggy backs, it needs the ccc to work. To what extent is a very good question! Did you try it? Thanks for watching!

Absolutely fine currently, happy todo a follow up vid on it. I was also skeptical as I’ve also had issues in the past with these type of head units. 👍
@@FuelledLife a follow up video would be great be good to see how it works etc

oh so you just need aux mode programmed you don't need an actual aux port

Do you have discount code for the unit?
Unfortunately not Giorgos, I tried but due to me being a small channel, there wasn’t much incentive for them.
