So I just wanna THANK YOU for all the advice, tips and pointers that you give on your channel.REALLY NEW FISHERMAN FROM GREENSBORO NC and myself and my son just wanna say thank you.
Good move Scott, saving that new secret weapon bait you’ve been working on for a big derby! You know, that quadruple turbo, double flambaffle Bandittobamaslammer! 😅😅👍👍👍 assume video guys!
Thank you for all your videos and all your help! You have no idea how much I’m learning from you I’m pretty new in the fishing world you have been a huge help
Y’all need to come up here to Weiss Lake. Not easy to run on northern end but I do. More back water than u can fish. Don’t even think about going up river with the water is drawn down.
The LOWER Coosa is where it's at. I've fished 'em all, from Weiss to Jordan-all the way to where the Tallapoosa and the Bouldin Canal spill in and make it the Alabama. Since the Upper 3 lakes are STORAGE lakes and the Lower 3, GENERATION lakes, they don't draw the Lower 3 lakes down in winter. That year 'round grass makes all the difference. Not that spots like it; you rarely catch spots IN the grass. They learn quick that they'll get ETT near that grass! What it does is splits the angling pressure between spots and heads throughout the year. This helps tremendously but can be a headache trying to figure out what you wanna fish for in a day's time. That said, I'm from Clanton; I'm biased! > *
DC and his brother are the best on that lake so don't feel bad, they whooped alot of our butts there. Mitchell is a phenomenal lake, you can run end to end in 15min
Great video two of my favorite fisherman getting after it. Would love to see more videos like this. You signed that 20 right? Did he hit ya with a ding at all lol? You should get the secret weapon out and do you and Hil vs DC and Wheeler.
I'm with Mr Geitgey. Okeechobee is a lake for schooling ppl on...lol It's awesome to see ya'll having a ton of fun catching fish though, even if it cost a hat and $20. Love ya'll, keep doing what you do best!!
Looked like a fun day. Too bad y'all didn't catch any BIG'UNS! LOL! DC, I still got you on big spot there; mine is a 7lb 1oz, one-eyed FAT GIRL that came on a pearl Sassy Shad in the Continuous Minimum Flow on the side of the powerhouse, back in '99. I've had three 100+ fish days there. My PBs there are both 7-1s; spot and largemouth both. The largemouth was on a Lunker Lure, way up Hatchet, back in 1991!
Mine is a 7-1 that came off the face of the dam you just saw! Caught her on a 3" pearl Sassy Shad, right on the concrete, 22 years ago. She was blind in one eye and had a huge, mossed over scar on her gill plate. I said it was from living on that concrete for years and just reaching out to grab a shad now and then! She was so big, and old, and worn out, she just gave up. I didn't feel bad about mounting her (it was 1999) because she was gonna die of old age soon anyway!
Scott my wife and i would like to fish this area in the near future. Trying to look up places to stay but are not sure where to search. Any help would be appreciated. We really enjoy your videos and love following you. We were thinking of renting a place in Hartwell for the classic. Do they stick with those dates or could they be subject to change this far out. By the way we live in the Palm Bay Florida so as you can guess we are a little spoiled when it comes to bass fishing.
@@shadygraves Thank you for offering to help. I was trying to search VRBO for a place to stay but without a location I could not find one. Also is there a better time of year to fish. I know its fishing but some places do have a better time of year. We are from Florida so we mostly fish shallow and are not very good at fishing deep. Any advice would much be appreciated
World record is over 11. Northern California In trout lake. Tim from TacticalBassin broke the record. Registered IGFA. It was broken again about a year later. Story about the catch and pic of the fish on TB. There are so many giant Spots out there . TB has a video of it.
Hey Scott, I got the favorite emperor 7’4 heavy with moderate fast action and I wanted to get the DC curado to pair with it would you recommend the 6.2.1 or 7.4.1 for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits
You notice how Scott said "You need heavy tackle, braid, and 15lb fluoro for these fish", then wound up catching them on a spinning rod??? LOL 6&8lb test gets down better and gives your lures alot more action in that current! I've got a 7lb1oz spot from that dam to prove it! I even caught a 10½lb striper on 4lb line and my ultralight trout rod up there 3 years ago. Can't blame him though; sponsors pay the bills!
Literally my 2 favorite fishermen in the sport in 1 video. This NEEDS to happen more PLEASE!
This is by far my favorite video on RUclips! Two of my favorite fishermen! Nice Job and Well Done!
Two of my favorite with Wheeler and Mark included. Dsizzle catching those big dummies. I grew up fishing Lay and Smith Lake.
DC has got to be 1 of the most fun anglers to fish with,Dudes a dang hammer, they ain't gunna catch themselves
DC put on dang Coosa River CLINIC!

Maybe best SMC ever. Two great funny guys that are great fishermen! Loved it!
I love that show. You and DC are the 2 guys that I follow the most when it comes to bass fishing. Them spots are bad fish
It’s scary how good you proven professional anglers are. Right down to the way you put your hands on the reel and stand on deck. Lot to be learned.
Now get DC on lake Okeechobee for a rematch.
Thank you for all your videos and all your help! You have no idea how much I’m learning from you I’m pretty new in the fishing world you have been a huge help
Thomas, thank you for your support!

Coosa River Spotted bass is the bomb. I love fishing any part of the Coosa.
One of the country’s best fisheries

Fluke
Hammers.
11lb 4oz WW
Where’s the Beer a cooler full of water that’s pretty sad Scott. Fishing without beer is like a hand job without lube.
This is an old episode, no? I swear I’ve seen this on television before
Correct..It’s the run of tv shows from this year.
Make a extra heavy 8 foot googan rod I'll buy it
