Join Monster of Ceremonies Mike Wazowski and the funniest monsters in Monstropolis for a show to power the city.
Having discovered that a laugh provides 10 times more energy to Monstropolis than a scream, everybody's favorite one-eyed monstrosity decided to open up the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor-a comedy club starring monster comedians-as a way to capture the giggles and chortles of humans to help run the city.
The Opening Act
Step inside the only laugh factory in Monstropolis and make your way into a sprawling 400-seat comedy club. Before taking your seat, everybody's favorite Monster of Ceremonies Mike Wazowski makes an appearance to explain just how the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor came to be.
The Punch Line
Once inside the Laugh Floor, sit back and prepare to chuckle till your sides split as the wisecracking Wazowski, skeptical manager Roz and some of the funniest monsters you've ever seen spring to life on a digital stage and do their very best to make you laugh.
Since the atmosphere in the comedy club is very improvisational, each show is a slightly different experience. And in true comedy-club style, the comics love to engage the audience. So don't be surprised if, at some point, you become part of the show!
Meet the Monsters of Comedy
Although different shows may feature different comedians, some "hall of fame" monster comics that have performed at the Laugh Floor include:
Buddy Boil: A mind-reading act that's more funny than astounding.
Mac and Jeeves: Two-headed monsters don't come any more comical than this!
Marty Wazowski: Mike's nephew is a definite sight for a sore eye...
One time I was picked as Randall. Right when they said "he could turn invisible", I ducked under the camera view, and since there was a bit of camera lag, I immediately disappeared. I kid you not, Sam and Ella just stood there, mouths open, shocked and amazed, for like 20 seconds. Everyone was cracking up!
They looked at each other. Ella said, "He's goooood," and Sam replied "Correction: He is Evil." Then they continued with the regular show, but it felt amazing to make everyone laugh, and somewhat "break" the show. :D
Patrick Ramsey or you just told a lie, because this exactly situation was filmed and posted in other video of this show
Yeah I went to this show and another guy did the same thing and Sam and Ella responded in the same way.

I went to the Laugh Floor and I was like 7. The screen went on me and Mike said, "There's a little monster." I was like 😄. I'll never forget that 😊
God, it feels good watching this. Makes me nostalgic for this one time they picked me as boo when I was little.
Once my brother got picked by Marty, he asked him what grade he was in, my brother was in pre-school so he said, "no grade.". Marty then said, "YOUR THE LUCKIEST KID IN THE WORLD!". I remember that to this day.

People in front of me got on so we squished our heads in and they put us on and said "and to the girls who wanted to be on camera so bad" XD
Does this use live voice actors watching the show in the gods? It must be really difficult to time the responses right.
If I ever go to Disney World (I've never been before, but I really want to go!!!!) I'm gonna go to Laugh Floor. My favorite Disney Pixar character of all time is Mike Wazowski!!!! I need to see this in real life lol.

Mike Wazowski keeps hurting himself and being clumsy oh, and I especially like the bit when the safe landed on him that was funny and ouch that's gonna hurt.
I lost it at the "vomit child" jokes.

My dad has been that guy 3 times, and the 3rd time he was the camera panned to another bald guy with a beard and then marty said, “hey that guy, i found your brother”
Also the waiting music before the show starts in the theater is from the Pixar short, “For the Birds”
What happens if nobody laughs at the jokes? Do they still light the can, or not? It's hard to get me to laugh on purpose. I have a joke: "You want to be a writer?" "Yes" "Better a writer than a wronger."

Wow this is a saddening thing. So easy to manipulate people with scripted automation. They're very good at doing it though, I'll admit.
Actually the only things that are automated is Mike and Roz. Other than that they the characters are being controlled in real time and voiced in real time.

AllCentralFlorida is right. The actor behind the screen is given a stack of animations that he can trigger when he likes, giving a spontaneous and seamless performance. I know this because I animated many of them.
When I went in 2012 before MU Mike was the only character in the whole show and it was WAY funnier, he was animated on the fly and it was very cool.
SmithersTuber - You must be mistaken. Marty, Buddy and the rest of the gang have been in this show since 2007.

I've seen this a few times, and one time I was there, Marty asked a little girl in the audience what she wanted to be when she was older, and she replied:
"I want.... ....to be gay!"
I kid you not, the it was one of the funniest things things I've ever seen in my life, I had tears in my eyes and Marty's reaction was priceless!

I once got picked on before the show - apparently I didn't see the monster under my seat!

My dad was "that guy" once, and he got a sticker for it. lol It really made his day though XD And also once I was the one who was "gonna treat everyone to churros".
Fun fact: I animated many of the shots for this show, and had the honour of animating the final "goodbye humans" shot. Good times!
I've been "that guy" too. I was wearing a plaid shirt and they said I looked like I was wearing a picnic blanket. I got a sticker lol
The one I went to was much funnier in my opinion. The audience was much more involved and the voices weren't the same. My mom was in tears! Just know that each show is completely different, so you'll eventually find one that's funny.

My dad was That Guy once, and Buddy Boil kept nailing him for texting during his act. It was great!
i was here yesterday and man, the dude chosen at that guy always looked so conflicted while on screen. And they had the purple dude up, and he was playing a tape on how to be a good comedian, and the tape said to pick someone in the audience, (they picked this huge buff black dude) and compliment their girlish figure. The way he said it was just too funny. And they picked a lil kid, probably 11, and after commenting on his pokemon shirt with a "how do u get pikachu onto a bus? you pok-e-mon.", marty said, "hey, do you like disney princesses?" and kid was like, "It depends." and then marty said, "Well, how about sleeping beauty?" and he said "sure." and the camera panned to an older guy that was passed out and he went, "well she's right in the show with us!" and mannn was it funnyyy. One of the best attractions ya'll.
I remember going to this show when I was 11 or 12 and they pick random kids from the audience, i think now they say for kids to raise their hands, but when they picked me and my face was on that screen, I froze. He was trying to ask questions, but I only remember this one question they asked. I think it was mike, he asked what I wanted to be when I was older and I replied "uhhmm" like not for a long time and then before I can say anything he goes, "wow, your parents must be proud" like as an 11 year old, do you laugh? Idk I thought it was odd
I laughed so hard when Buddy called the girl in the pink shirt “The Vomit Child” 😂

the one I went to was so much better all the people played along and did exactly what they were asked to do lol even the boo kid was funny(and it was her birthday too). basically everyone who was on camera didn't care about their dignity anymore cx and the guy they promote at the end of the show actually smiled and acted like he was proud :)

Back in 2013 I submitted a joke that made it on the show. "What do you call a boomerang that does not come back? A stick."
I hate it that this didn't make me laugh at all :( but everything else was great! Have to admit, if I was younger I would have been dying from laughter ahahaha. I was 11 when I went and didn't laugh. Now I'm 12 hahaha
I still think they gave up on Circle-Vision 360 too soon...I don't mean another travelogue. Imagine a sci-fi/fantasy adventure shot in that format. Modern-day effects solves the problem of finding scenery that looks good from all angles, and...unlike 3-D...it's something you won't ever be seeing at the multiplex theaters.

I've been to Disney World before, with my family. Since the Summer break, I have arrived there when Russi Taylor passed away. I like The Laugh Floor and makes me laugh so hard. My favorite part was when Mike was insulting Roz that she was just on the screen. LOL

When I went they asked a girl to think of a number and say it and did all that, she held up the number four on her fingers and he screamed her name for like 5 minutes.
I went to this last week and I was the featured guy that "had the urge to get up and dance". So, naturally I did! Shook my hips, turned around, waved my arms! The audience loved it and I had a great time doing it.
